The Hobbit Hole V - Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...

Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
Where Many Paths and Errands Meet...
The Road goes ever on and on
Down from the door where it began.
Now far ahead the Road has gone,
And I must follow, if I can,
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way
Where many paths and errands meet.
And whither then? I cannot say.

Anyone still up? We have a Christmas tree!
From bare tree...
To finished tree!
It's hard to see, but about half of the lights on the tree are blinking...
It's hard to see the ornaments too, but here's a close up of one of our "special" ones: a glass ball with a plastic rose inside. We have a set of four of these...
Now we're ready for Christmas!
To: AnAmericanMother
Congratulations! I know what a joy hunting can be and I'm happy for you that you were able to get back to it. And how lucky you are to have a horse who did so well on her first time out! That's kind of a minor miracle in itself! Good on both of ya.

THAT is a lovely tree!
I love your special ornament!
I have several special ornaments that are nice figures that look like Logan and Zulu and Gidget and Bay... My dad's lady friend buys a few special ornaments for us every year.
Very special this year were the ones of Logan and Zulu as angels.

Thanks! Your special ornaments sound really special, Hair!
Looking at the pic of the finished tree, I can see where it needs improvement... but I'm just too tired tonight to fiddle with it.
Now I need to get lights put up on the house... but not tonight!
Congratulations again, and good night!

We are still up! - Trying to get our body clocks on a midnight schedule!I'll be at work until 7AM. Then I'll go home and sleep a while. Probably won't be functional until later in the afternoon.
Congratulations again. When will the online gift registry be ready? I know Hair has her heart set on that stainless steel Marlin lever action in 45-70.

And from deep within the help desk of a major metropolitan hospital comes something quite appropriate for our Hobbit Hole:

One of the few benefits of working this shift is watching the news filtering in that Saddam has been captured. While this is certainly good news, I'd prefer him dead. Andbody want to bet how long before demands start that Saddam be tried by some "international tribunal"?

Such good news to wake up to! Saddam is captured and the hobbits are getting hitched!

Press conference:
Bremmer: "Ladies and Gentleman, we got him."
Audience (reporters even!) goes wild.
To: Lil'freeper
Huh Good morning indeed!
I wish he hadn't been taken alive though... I fear all of the possible things that we will do with him now will become tiresome.
Excellent to have this chapter over though!
