We have bigger fish to fry, and getting upset about the use of one word is kind of crazy....

But it's not one word, is it? It's several. And whence this idea to be sincere, dedicated, mindful, interesting and determined one must resort to vulgarities? If it's just as easy to say a "colorful" word as it is to say the "polite" words why not just say the polite word?

Alas, today it would seem that this is called "censorship", or "hypersensitivity" or "prudery". In another time it was called "Good manners."
