What a terrible thing! Praying for the victims and their families.
I swear people are nuts when they drive. No concern for anyone's life or property.
A few weeks ago I had some dimwit pass me on the the right side where cars were parked. She's lucky where she passed there were no parked cars otherwise she would have plowed into one.

This is my son's church, and I don't know the people (although I have spoken to the church secretary on the phone). The husband was the most severely injured...pieces of skull were protruding and he was showing no response. The lady was also severely injured but they were working on her as the ambulance left. The pastor rode in the ambulance to the hospital.
I will know tomorrow. I am sure it will be in the paper. I don't want to call anyone and intrude, but I am praying for them.

No, I was by myself. Mr. Marple had a meeting this evening and couldn't go to the program. After talking to the police, I had to drive half an hour home on the interstate.
I was really careful, believe me.

That something like this could happen so quickly....in the blink of an eye....
My daughter was about to turn into her own driveway....(she lives on a quiet street)...
..and this car came from nowhere and started passing her, and she was just seconds from making the turn....didn't even see it.
The car kept going.
She was very shaken.
Again, I am so sorry!

Prayers lifted for the church family. Prayers lifted for you. I strongly suggest that you seek professional counselling for that traumatic event. To witness something like that can leave scars. Please take care of yourself.

How awful, Jane! How tragic for the secretary and her husband .... and so unsettling for you. It would have taken me quite a while to be in any shape to drive myself home after that. I do hope they are able to catch the perp.

Well, I will consider what you said. I am mostly sad at how careless behavior can cause such tragedy. It also makes me reflect on how precious and fragile life is.
That could have been my son and his family, or my daughter, all of whom were walking from the church at that time. And of course, I could have been hit head-on.
I request prayers for the family and for those in the church. To happen at this time of year makes it even worse.

You are in shock now, but I bet you gave the police officer very concise information that will help get this cretin off the streets, and away from innocent people!

I truly pray guardian angels around my loved ones every day.....every day.
I pray for my husband, my son in Texas, my daughter & her husband and my parents.
I pray for their travel to and fro.
I believe in God's will.....
...and I also believe in guardian angels.

Yes, talked to my son. He had just gotten home and was getting ready to call and see if I got home ok. That is how I found out it was the church secretary.
I tell you, pepople drive like they are nuts! I will bet you they catch this person pretty quick. He left a wheel cover at the scene.
