???
You've had nothing but vitriol to say to everyone else, and all you have to say about this is, "We'll fix that"??
Makes one wonder about you.

" b/c Sandler gave the troops a premiere of the film. We will scratch it."
And the troops liked it.
Too bad you have little regard for what the troops liked.
One can like something and still find one person's politics reprehensible.
It's the same as respecting a person's work, but having no love for that person.

But don't you see? That has been our point. You will find someone of the 'whack' persuasion in any movie out there.

OK so according to PABAAH a movie can suck in every possible way, being entirely lacking in any redeeming quality in script or acting, but if the star gives the troops a preview it could be the best movie of the year?! I think you guys need to remember what movies are supposed to be: entertaining. In your own way you're as star struck as the celebrity worshippers that read People.

good catch...we'll fix that lickety split. :) Anger Management was nominated b/c Sandler gave the troops a premiere of the film. We will scratch it.
That wasn't the point of my exercise. The point was that it is sometimes counterproductive to reject things according to who the players are.
I don't know the message of Anger Management but I do know it looked pretty funny and I'm thinking about renting it.
I do know the message of LoTR, and its message transcends the likes Viggo Mortensen, Dom Monaghan, and Andy Serkis. It is a message of fighting evil because it is the right thing to do. It is a message of defending the traditional values. And it is a message that there is such a thing as "Good" and "Evil" and that Evil must be opposed wherever we find it. It is a profoundly Christian message.
Even the Apostle Paul did not boycott things because of the players, it was the message that was important:
Philippians 1:15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also of good will:
Philippians 1:16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds:
Philippians 1:17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the gospel.
Philippians 1:18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and I will rejoice.
To paraphrase the above portion of Scripture, "Conservative values are preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and I will rejoice."

"I can't help it if they certainly ACT and SOUND like DU'ers"
No.. that's just your interpretation. You must be very stoned if you are actually hearing what they have posted. Maybe it is really the voices in your head that you are upset with?
It's time for you to realize how many people here on FR have just spent the afternoon being called DUers by you and for you to decide whether they are the ones with the problem or you are the one with the problem. My vote is the problem lies with you trying to promote your website and then getting angry at anyone who doesn't like it.

Yes, I'm afraid Viggo is a vapid, brainless twit.
Unfortunately, JRD is becoming persona non grata with his cast members since he refused to wear the red ribbon on World AIDS Day and he nearly punched Andy Serkis for refusing to stand when Queen Elizabeth & GW were toasted at the BAFTA/LA awards. He also lectured Sir Ian (known as Sirinna to the cast) about using LOTR to promote his personal gay agenda. We suddenly found ourselves flying back from the NZ premiere on a flight with assorted orcs and goats.

Don't worry so much about it. When Viggo calls on "...
the men of the West..." to rise up, it won't matter what he said on a stupid talk show. And when Gandalf summons the extraordinary eagles to save them...all Americans will think of is our fight against terror and evil.
Also, my beloved, who plays Gimli, is trying to get New Line to let him take the trilogy to Afghanistan and Iraq to screen for the soldiers. They think it's a great idea.
See "Return of the King" and encourage everyone you know to see it...you'll forget all about Viggo. Because it doesn't matter what he says. It matters what you feel. And you'll feel like it's a movie based on our struggle and it's pretty damn exciting. Trust me.
