I have an urgent need of prayer today.

Dave, I just saw your request for prayer. This was surely a hard blow for you and your family, but thank God, He has allowed you to see the gift. It is a rare thing to be able to see a gift in the midst of grief. I pray that the Lord will continue to give you peace and comfort. He has already taken your Father under His wings.

My uncle died on Thanksgiving evening from a massive heart attack, too. We are a very close family and this is very, very difficult.

I just want to thank everyone for their outpouring of prayers. It means so much to my family and I.

My father had turned 79 in September. He was a veteran of the United States Army and had spent time in North Africa and Italy during WWII. Up until the very last he was active and enjoying life. Just that day he had brought in a load of wood for the fireplace, (his favorite activity was cutting wood. At one time we had upwards of 15 cords of wood stacked about the property.)
