In order that we might all raise the level of discourse and expand our language abilities, here is the daily post of word for the day. Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the word of the day; in a sentence. The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day. Practice makes perfect.....post on....
osculate \ohs*cue*late\, verb:
osculated, osculates, osculating; transitive, intransitive verb
osculation; noun
deosculate, deosculation; (fondly)
exosculate, exosculation; (vigorously)
1. To kiss..
2. Mathematics: To have three or more points coincident with.
3. To come together; contact.
A Plain Old Kiss
Some people need a peck or two;
For others a simple smooch will do;
Too many, a graze will stimulate;
A few may want to osculate.
And then, there are those who need a smack,
For flowery words they have a knack.
But all I want from you is bliss,
Which you can give me with a plain, old kiss!
- Arr. Ara John Movsesian Etymology [Latin scul r , scul t-, from sculum, kiss, diminutive of s, mouth. See s- in Indo-European Roots.]

I was just watching Fox News talking about President Bush's secret visit to Iraq-how brave, how cool, and how guaranteed to provoke wailing and the gnashing of teeth. That certainly made my Thanksgiving happier-I love the smell of liberals frying in the morning....

I took the kids to see Elf, while the turkey was in the oven. i loved it! it is truly a great movie, i was guffawing aloud such that my kids were shushing me and i bawled at the sad scenes. all in all a very uplifting, fun, nice kickoff to the holiday season. So i came back to the news that Pres. Bush had gone over to surprise the troops. and i was bawling at how touching that was, how he looked on the verge of tears himself when he spoke to them there. And within 5 minutes it occurred to me, that the EVIL B!TCH is over there, absolutely tearing her hair out that Pres. Bush upstaged her. All AM On fox news were the clips of her over there eating turkey dinner with the troops, yucking it up with Geraldo and now, she is OLD NEWS, backburner. they have historic news footage to show now! i love it. he is a genius! and you know she is fit to be *ing tied over it!!!

Overheard at the DNC as Fox News was running the footage of GWB's visit to Baghdad:
"BWAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH"
To: xsmommy
Yup. That Iraq stunt had Karl Rove's name all over it. After he showed up in Baghdad, you didn't hear another word about HRC in Afghanistan. Choleraprincess and I are on the verge of turkey coma about now.

Homework, Osculation.
The movie didn't show this, but after her house crushed the Wicked Witch, Dorothy was imprisoned for while in solitary.
Yep, she was in Ozcellation confinement until released....

There "are" solutions to a bad case of over-dressing overdoses ....
One should start by removing the over-dressed clothes of course ....

Neither of my teams won today but the halftime with Toby was good and the crowd loved it. It is not a good night for Sherrill's last game. Pouring rain and storm alerts.
