The paint has dried
cracked and worthless
canvas stained and ragged
the cards no longer hold
the magic
moonlight
has dimmed to
misty fog
but your image
faded on the old
canvas brightens
the candle times

My barber wants
me to turn my silver
into gold,
and surrender to
the art of color
inasmuch as I began
with copper, I like
the naturally positive
progression and
I think I'll deny
him his bleachable
moment.

Reading autumn signs
morning is the red repair
of nights blue moment.

Standing in silver
we move towards gold fall
leaving isn't all

Falling into you
quicksilver uncatchable
mirrored distortion.

Beyond reflection
cold images love replays
I knew you before

Still lakes in winter
remember summer's portrait
water shivered, lost.

Memory's hot forge
casts you in clay and lost wax
your image remains.

falling back to
survival mode
makes me realize
I wasn't born to
survive
I was born to live
and whatever chance
that involves
I must-
I must move forward-
kick against
the goading rote
of reason
and marvel at the
reasonableness
of chance

Sleep found my loneliness
sweetens the essence you are
and I tangled your senses
with love in my eyes
throwing your distance
across flesh rushing
your love to me silently

The sun sits low in Winter sky
A son sits high and passes by

Winter Solstice coming nigh
Duty done are reasons why

This when darkness is about
Humble stoic not a shout

Sky so full of black and night
Pride in doing something right

Just beyond the darkest day
Boy to man in honorable way

Tomorrow brings a bit more Light
A powerful Beacon in my sight

day slips
into lavender night
i slide into
red satin slip
hair down
chin up
brave the world
of Autumn's love-game
and try not to laugh
at the Spring in my soul
nor let Winter's mockery
call my bets

knowing the odds
will eventually
favor the dealer
i see sixes and eights
hold 'em close
i bet the house
on one Summer moment
with you
and slip into
your arms again

Waves caressing the shores
waiting a sunrise
my balance was on seaweed
and soft sands
Our future was dormant
my love once yours, diminished
is in the seas...

Winter solstice is drawing nigh
chills the bones dims the eye
long cold dark creep in bones
ghostly forms roam with gnomes
and I at home in my dreams
close my ears to unearthy screams

The promise of the Light
Not just that coming night

Things do all break down
Greater reasons for a frown

Wallow in that curious bliss
Oblivion not a thing to miss

Think about a simple smile
As you walk in every mile

i slide into

Nice image, and on a lighter note,

Red shift
not exactly
nights in
white satin
but its about
a big bang
non-the-less.
Universal
creation.

Command economies
require encomiums
top down celebrations
rooted in requirements
and requisitions that
eschew variations
in seasonal conditions
l'amore vinci tutti.
