Nully is nullified by his desire to lurk to post these numbers.

You can only win if it's inadvertent and done by mistake.

Restie will win cause no one will suspect she's trying to.

groooooooooooooooosss

I heard a story from a young man recently, about when he just started his first carpentry job. The first weekend on the job, he volunteered to work on a Habitat for Humanity house during a big summer festival time.

He was cutting plywood on a table saw. The plywood was really warped and if you know how these tools work, the warp prevented the blade from cutting the wood. Being astute and a future Darwin Award winner, he pushed down on the plywood so the blade would cut again and proceeded to cut all four fingers off.

there was a crowd of about one hundred people watching. They medivaced the guy to the nearest hospital, sewed three of his fingers back on, but couldn't find the fourth because of the crowd. Oh yeah, the plywood had this nice red stain on it.

I have more....Stories......

Thankfully we don't have a lawn mower .. I got rid of the grass in the back yard and we only need a weed wacker in the front yard

So I think he's safe there

And no the girls didn't see it .. he didn't even want to show me at first

If I was a kind, sympathetic person my first reaction to this news would be "Awwww, poor guy."
However, I'm a mean-spirited conservative, and the word "dumbass" came to mind first.

Sorry, Mike.

I often stare at my hands, being very thankful that all ten digits are still there.

Power tools need to be highly feared and respected before you use them.

Want to hear some nail gun stories?

Heh heh heh

LL got out of jury duty for that same attitude once.

It was someone suing the nail gun manufacturer because he shot himself with it.

I've seen more trauma injuries in the ER than I care to remember. The worst was a man who hit something on the gound while riding his three wheel ATV. He was tossed into a tree and was split from groin to abdomen as he straddled it. We saved him, though.

Ok, I'll tell you a mild one then....no harm, no foul.

About fifteen years ago, our crew was setting trusses (big roof components) on a job with a crane. Fool employer that I am, I always do the dangerous stuff. The crane would hold these in the center peak with a strap, one guy was on one end and walked on top of walls that were only eight feet tall. I walked on the exterior wall holding the other end of the truss. The fall was twenty feet, while walking on a 4 inch wide wall, like a balance beam twenty foot high.

The guy on the safe end tripped, jumped off, sending the truss into a spin and knocked me off the wall. It was a fun moment.

I actually didn't fall. The truss swung out about thirty feet over the big chasm, and I hung on to the end of it, dangling down holding on with my fingers. Luckily it swung right back to the wall I had been walking on. It was as big a thrill as bungee jumping I'm sure, I didn't even have to pay money for the adrenaline rush!

Ahnold would have been proud. No stunt double.

Yes, after nineteen years...I did burn out. But, it was from the politics of the hospital, not from my patients.

One morning I just walked up to my supervisor...placed my stethoscope, name tag, meds in my lab coat pocket...and walked out.
