My Mom grew up in western Canada where there are or were plenty of moose hanging around, my grandfather and his brothers hunted them and my uncle used to as well.

I've dated a couple of Canadian women. One lady's dad flew home to Newfoundland for a funeral. He went hunting while there, and brought a fresh roast home to TX with him. Very good eating.
