Yes, he is interesting. I was on the phone with him last night again - this time until past 3 AM. I don't think I'm going to function well today. He has a good voice - was a TV weatherman for 6 years, and now sings with the local opera and performs with his band, in addition to his very good day job. He played me songs on his 12-string guitar over the phone last night. He has custody of his 3 sons ages 12 - 18, and a cordial relationship with his ex and her husband. Been divorced 9 years..... oh, and he's 6'5"
But he lives in Memphis. I do not. There's always a catch....
To: Conspiracy Guy
Okers.
I also have to run.
i need to scrub my mind out.

Brass got queasy.
Another time, a guy whose mother is Australian, built a snow kangaroo. compleat with a joey in the pouch. After a day, the sun had shaped the joey into a 12" obelisk. Our squadron commander say it and had it torn down. Seems dear little joey looked rather obscene from a distance.
To: Darksheare
Don't use your toothbrush for that.
To: Professional Engineer
LOL!
Reminds me of this quote from a guy whose rabidly feminist girlfrined broke his guitar, "Ugh! My phallic symbol!"
(She'd said that guitars were phallic symbols and thus should be destroyed. Oddly, she was a horrendous hose beast.)

To: ValerieUSA; Darksheare
Hey there Dark .. I miss being scared by you *L*
Well I hate to bug out so soon, but I need to head down to my mom's house and help my one sister clean things out.
What a huge mess is going on with everything .. but as mom always said .. there's never a dull moment ... and there isn't
Personally, I think I need a vacation on a nice sunny WARM beach
BTW ... did I mention they are calling for 3-5 inches of snow here?

Modern Americans probably KNOW very little about Abe Lincoln. It irks me too when I hear that he was a racist. NO Way!! Nor were most southerners racist.
They bought Black slaves, because that happened to be the most reasonably priced color, and they were easier to track down if they ran away.
When Cromwell sold thousands of captured Cavaliers into slavery, planters in the Southern Colonies and in Barbados bought the lot.
If you look at the color difference between Africans and American Blacks, or read about Strom Thurman, you will see that many Southerners really liked blacks.
