Oh good grief. Can you believe that? Is it me or does the world seem to be getting sicker every year?

House is coming along fine. I'm starting on the kitchen remodel after the first of the year - have already purchased two new appliance - lovely gas range and Advantium flash oven, both in stainless steel, to match the refrigerator. We ripping out the nasty built-ins, including the absolutely hideous cook top, putting in a gas line, we'll have new floor coverings, countertops and sinks. I can hardly wait! Nope, haven't dressed the house for christmas yet, will do that this weekend. Tree, nativity set, ceramic lighted "winter village", a couple of Christmas centerpieces, stuff like that. I don't know if we'll get any outdoor lights this year since my husband didn't get around to installing the exterior electric outlets yet. We've gotten some of the landscaping in the front yard done, so the place is shaping up!

It's pretty unbelievable, isn't it? "I find his views intoxicating!" She's believes passionately in a single-payer health care system, as does he! Sounds like a sound basis for a marriage, doesn't it? Funny, I don't remember checking with my husband when we were dating as to his views on a socialized health care system. And what's this with her living with her boyfriend, and wanting to date Dennis? Oh well. I guess I'm just soooo old-fashioned.

WOW, sounds great. I like the Nativity scene. Been thinking about that one, myself, especially since I saw that ACLU pervert on O'Reilly the other night. Yick.
I have a place to put one, by the street, inside the fence. They are hard to find, I've discovered. Do you set yours inside hay bales, or what? Does your's already have a manger?

Oh, and isn't this romantic? "As a bachelor I get a chance to fantasize about my first lady ... and I certainly want a dynamic, outspoken woman who was fearless in her desire for peace in the world and for universal, single-payer health care and a full employment economy," Kucinich said at the time. "And if you are out there, call me."

AND him saying he is a bachelor when he is twice DIVORCED. Yick.
I can't imagine the horror of sitting down with a democrat to do ANYTHING, much less eat.

Oops. I should have said that it's SMALL nativity scene, with a little barn, manger, and ceramic figures. I usually place it on one of the end tables by the couch, with a couple of Chrismassy candles. I don't have anything yet for outside, guess I'll have to go SHOPPING! I'll borrow hubby's SUV and put the rear seats down so I'll have maximum cargo space.

LOL, what a guy! Oh, throw up. That is so much propaganda. No man would talk like that on a first date, or any date, that I'm aware of. I would burst out laughing, right in his face, I'm afraid. What happened to candlelight dinners, hand holding, kisses, and other things. Sounds like two typical democrats, though. All they think about is their agenda and destroying our Country.
To: .38sw
Oooooooooooh, sorry, I just took off on that because of watching the "No Spin Zone." LOL. Yes, I love those small ones, very pretty and classic. One of my friends places hers on her mantle. She gets around to taking it down sometime in June, usually. ROFLOL.

Interesting you should say that. My oldest sister got remarried the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Great guy - but here's a little kicker: My mom, my siblings (two sisters, brother-in-law, and my other sister's soon-to-be husband,), niece and nephew were all sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner. We started talking politics. Brother in law Dave pipes up starting a sentence with "The Democrats want to..."and then starts discussing what dastardly deed they're up to now. My soon to be BIL then says, "Um, I'm a Democrat". Well, what a conversation stopper that was.

When I see Catpuppy, I'll have to ask him how he feels about Socialized medicine. (as if I didn't know. lol) Hum, we'll also inquire about his beliefs regarding the economy. Certain to be more interesting that what he's wearing that day. :)(and which cologne he applied, this morning, and what color towels he uses) giggle.

LOL. Good morning.
To: .38sw
OMG, that is sooooo funny. What did you say? It's difficult because you have to be nice, but I just want to rip their heads off.
To: .38sw
Good grief. Did you read the article about the Coast Guard gunships watching a boat?
To: Letitring
I just told him that I used to be one too, until I moved to California, that California democrats are just way too far to the left for me. I didn't know what else to say. I didn't want to tell him that I got smarter as I got older, that would have been soooo rude. There was a major subject change after that. Nobody else said anything. Talk about your holiday faux pas. It's funny in retrospect...

Yes, and you have to keep your guard up, as those democrats will sneak up on ya. LOL. I've had a couple of interesting moments, myself. :(
You know, Bess redid her kitchen this year. It was a messy process and turned our world upside down, for awhile. She seems happy with it, but she replaced the kitchen table, my favorite place in the house, with a square one, where we'd always had a round one of some description. I don't know about this. It makes the space seem smaller, which I like, but more formal somehow. Maybe it's just the way it's decorated for Christmas, but it just FEELS more formal.
To: Letitring
I'm not sure how I'm going to manage while the kitchen is torn up. We still have to eat, and I can't abide a steady diet of take out. I have an electric roasting pan, a microwave oven, and an electric grill - I'll just have to get innovative with those items while the kitchen is torn up. It's just something that needs to be done - I can't stand my kitchen the way it is now - the built-in oven is too small, the cooktop doesn't function well, and the fan rattles.
Interesting about the tables. We have a rectangular table in our breakfast nook, and I'm thinking of ditching it for a small round one. The current one is really too large for the space, and I think a small round one will look much better.

Ooopsie...why do our critters have to go to rugs and carpets to do all that they do?
Gulf coast cheers, Ringy.
