Interesting you should say that. My oldest sister got remarried the Saturday after Thanksgiving. Great guy - but here's a little kicker: My mom, my siblings (two sisters, brother-in-law, and my other sister's soon-to-be husband,), niece and nephew were all sitting down to Thanksgiving dinner. We started talking politics. Brother in law Dave pipes up starting a sentence with "The Democrats want to..."and then starts discussing what dastardly deed they're up to now. My soon to be BIL then says, "Um, I'm a Democrat". Well, what a conversation stopper that was.
Oh, I don't know.
I spent most of the '70s eating dinner, among other things, with Democrat Wimmin, even local officers in NOW.
They love a bad boy.
If you play all chauvanistic and say wimmin shouldn't have shoes, much less be able to vote, they go all gooey.
Then you tell 'em since they are all liberated they can pay for dinner and later in the evening they can do the hot sweaty part of the lovin'.
