Charles Henrickson broke out in sweater with his efforts on that thread.

I lost mine Libby and now I can't get it back. Seems to be quirky..and no matter what I do with my volume it never seems to get any louder. :(
It will flash and disappear.
To: grannie9
What flashes and disappears? The pager window?

Yep.. I see it for a split second but it never takes hold.. So I've only had it open once so far, and now can't get it to open again..
To: sweetliberty
Thank you for the prayers, Libby, they're much appreciated.

No word on the job yet. Going to do a
little shopping this morning, and have lunch with one of my clients. Maybe I can get some more hours?
Good luck on your job quest.

Thanls Nully. You too! I know Christmas sucks being laid off at this time every year. This is my 4th in a row like this and it's getting real old! I get a few hours here and there, but not enough to amount to anything. I had really hoped to bring the kids out here for Christmas but there's no way. I can't even go there, so this will be my third Christmas in a row without them too. Any one of the state jobs would at least be a salaried position, which would make all the difference. At least I might have a few options then.

I'm hearing you on FM...
To: grannie9
Do you have a pop-up stopper? That would cause that problem. Might be a problem with java, too. Anyway, look over these 2 threads. They address a lot of problems that different FReepers had and how they fixed it. I've never had any trouble with mine, but I had to set my pop-up stopper to allow pop-ups and other windows from this site.
What's the New "Pager" Icon About?
What's this FR pager thingy?

Yep, I have the pop-up stopper.. I will have to see if I can adjust it. I did get a chance to hit the (without Java) link and it is running now, but in a big window..
Thanks Libby, for the links and info.. Will check it all out. smoooooooooooooch

I suppose I will have to get dressed today. I need to get out and get Tyler's present so I can get their package sent. Is it cheaper to use UPS or mail? Do you know? I got Dawn the extended version of The Two Towers...the gift set with the figurine of gollum. She called me a couple of nights ago to tell me she knew what she wanted for Christmas....the extended version of the Two Towers. I told her I had already gotten her present. Teehe... She'll love it.

To: grannie9
Good luck Grannie. How can you miss with so many FReepers telling you what to do? LOL!

Oh, yes, indeed. People like Kevorkian (sp) wanted to help people die so he could watch...the ghoul. So do I.
I have a list of them right here.
