Kitty Caption XXIX – Football Trash Talk – (Humor/Meow Alerts)

Two freepers in the Houston area are going to have a little cat fight this week. One is a season ticket holder and devoted Houston Texans fan. The other (me) is a born and raised fan of the New England Patriots. These two teams will face each other on the gridiron in Houston this coming Sunday. In appreciation of this anticipated football match, we have started a little football trash talk thread. Since both of us are cat people, the little furry ones have started their own anticipation of the football match.
Here are the kitties practicing their end-zone dance.

Once we finish the face to face discussion, it is off to the chat rooms.

Some fans resort to prayer for the desired result.

Tony Banks (Texans QB) --- Meet Richard Seymour (Patriots DL)

We have one rule on our trash talk thread no profanity; otherwise Referee throws a flag.

You're looking at him and I'm a she.Well duh! So you refer to your "photoshop" software as "she"? ;o)
BTW, you have a sense of humor like a guy . . . and I mean that with all warmth, sincerity and positive intentions.

BTW, you have a sense of humor like a guy . . . and I mean that with all warmth, sincerity and positive intentions. That's perfectly all right. I had the good fortune of growing up in an all male child neighborhood. None of the boys realized the difference for quite a few years and Mom was raised by her dad. It was such a great experience I'd recommend it to all girls (and later it delights and confuses the spouse).
I use PaintShop Pro and, yeah, it's a guy.

(and later it delights and confuses the spouse).I'll Amen that! It's my wife that pulls me away from the computer to go outside and chuck the football, reminds me I missed a workout with her but most of all . . . whenever the "Chiefs" (yeah that KC team) or Michigan State is televised, she terrorizes ALL four of our sleeping kitties with "fanatic fan" eruptions that would put a guy to shame. Hey it's girl thing . . . right?
So are you what they call a "Southie"?

Southie is a pretty tough neighborhood, but I grew up in a rural southeastern Mass. town in a middle America neighborhood of all kinds of people, only lacking little girls. The boys' age spread was great for raising us young ones and caused us to learn early how to be Precocious (very handy).
Hubby was a geek kid devoted to his chemistry set at an early age, so I, too, am the terror of the household. Attempts to teach him sports has been futile. Apparently if you don't learn to catch and throw and bat at a relatively early age, it's much harder to learn later.

We have four cats, too, and Sam "don't call me Samantha" is the biggest feline cheerleader in the house.

LOL! Great response. My best friend out here in Cal-lee-forn-eeya (have to say it that way now that we have a new governor) grew up part of his life in Southie. When his dad passed away he had to move to Rhode Island and live with his uncle. He's a fairly laid back "yankee" until you get in a car and drive LA's freeways with him. Sheeeesh! Talk about a split personality!
I remember watching "Good Will Hunting" with him . . . he said, "I can't believe I yuse ta tawk like dat". They give the "F" work it's broadest meaning. ;o) But he's one of best brothers in Christ I've ever met and would do anything to help someone. A good "Southie" and a huge "Pats/Sox" fan.
FWIW, I have soft spot for the "Pats" as they were once QBd by Tommy Hodson (All American, All SEC from LSU) until he got bumped by a lessor known QB named Drew Bledsoe. If the Pats and Chiefs face off for the AFC Championship, I'm taking the kitties upstairs to protect ourselves. (Thank God the wife doesn't FReep . . . hee-hee!)

I can guarantee you I've encountered Southie women who were more of a man than some men I know. If you like to read, Black Mass. is a book about Whitey Bulger and paints a fascinating picture of Southie, as well as Boston, the North End, Chelsea, and some of Mass.'s more colorful locales.
But just as Southies can be tough, you can't have a better, stronger, longer lasting ally than a Southie. I don't know too many places I can say that about.

If you like to read, Black Mass. is a book about Whitey Bulger Love to read . . . espechially historical content, but I need 36hrs. in a day. I've "marked" your recommendation (thanks) and will put it on my (growing) "to read" list.
BTW, glad to hear someone else is "crazy" enough to own FOUR kitties. When Santa comes (yeah huh!) this Christmas, we're getting a digital camera and will post pics on the weekly kitty thread of our monsters.

David Carr is not going to play. Injured shoulder. Yes, I know. And we tend to play a little better with Tony Banks at the helm. Heh, heh
This orange kitty is craving Patriot-Fan-Meat.

We'd have five kitties if it weren't for Vera Miles.
All our cats are strays; our house is marked as an underground railroad for wayward cats. But, as luck would have it these recent four are all females who want to be boss. Number five would have been a beautiful yellow tabby boy, but Vera wouldn't have it and made life hell for all of us. Good Golly Miss Molly merely hid and Sam "don't call me Samantha" was praying (preying?) for someone to play with while Murphy Motorola Brown was cool but apparently her vote didn't count.
Anyway, who says you have to be crazy to have such a cool pet as a cat? I love cats and dogs, but cats choose whether to like you or not, are the only domestic animal that has never been tamed, and they can train you but you can't train them. How cool is that?
