Praying for the Capture of Saddam Hussein

Almighty God, we are taught throughout Your Bible that You are a God of Justice. It is because of this that we pray this simple prayer. We believe that Saddam Hussein is a past murderer and that he is still involved in murder. We pray that out of Your Divine Justice that You would enable him quickly to be captured and brought to the Justice that You decree.

We pray for your Divine intervention, Lord. Strip Saddam of his hiding places and of his support.

We pray this in the name of eternal Justice, in the name of Jesus.

Lord God, our desire is to join hands in the Spirit of Peace. You have placed this desire within us. We would gladly dwell in peace with our neighbors.

But when one is wantonly killing in the neighborhood, we must act. You have also placed within us the desire to enforce peace and justice. Therefore, we pray for the soon capture of the murderer, Saddam Hussein.

We bind all his helpers. Make them blind. Bring their plottings and hidings to naught. Have Saddam captured in short order and brought to justice.

Lord God, You are the God who hears the cries of those unjustly killed. On this day that will live in infamy, we remember those murdered by the Japanese fascists in 1941 at Pearl Harbor. Their action forced us to defend ourselves. It was a just action.

60 Years later our countrymen were again murdered, but this time by a different type of Fascism....a combination of islamofacism and ba-athist fascism. We pray that you bring to justice especially Saddam Hussein, who financed, aided, and abetted those murderers, and also ruthlessly murdered others, and continues today to murder.

Bring him to swift, sure capture and judgment, Lord.

We pray in the name of Jesus; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Lord God, You do have demands on Your people, but they are not grievous. Even our Lord Jesus said, "Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly of heart and you will find rest for your soul."

Enable us, Father, to take that yoke of obedience to Christ upon ourselves so that we, too, "may press on for the prize of the high calling of God." Where we have fallen, lift us up; where we have overlooked, open our eyes; where we have rebelled, restore us to a whole relationship with You. It is in doing Your will that we will know more perfectly the ways of the eternal Judge.

Hear our pray, O Lord, for we pray for an end to war and a return to peace. We pray for the capture of the murderer, Saddam Hussein; we pray for the weapons of mass destruction to be found; we pray for the restoration of the nation of Iraq; and we pray for the Iraqi Christians whose persecution has been long and without end.

We pray all of this in the name of Jesus; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.
