Praying for the Capture of Saddam Hussein

Almighty God, we are taught throughout Your Bible that You are a God of Justice. It is because of this that we pray this simple prayer. We believe that Saddam Hussein is a past murderer and that he is still involved in murder. We pray that out of Your Divine Justice that You would enable him quickly to be captured and brought to the Justice that You decree.

We pray for your Divine intervention, Lord. Strip Saddam of his hiding places and of his support.

We pray this in the name of eternal Justice, in the name of Jesus.

Lord God, You are the God who establishes nations, who determines their times and their locations. And, as you held Ninevah accountable for its sin, so you hold our nation accountable for its sin. We confess that we have turned from You and followed after the ideas of philosophy and the behavior of the hedonists. We confess that we have been complicit in the death of our young unborn. We confess that we have focused on the rule of man rather than the rule of freedom and law. We beg your forgiveness. We pray that You bless us once more. We pray for showers of blessings and for the hearts of our people to be returned to You. We pray that we would proudly be known as "that nation that follows God."

Bless those in our military who comprise a Gideon's army, a force of warriors who will acknowledge You in their daily lives. Lead them to victory in the capture of Saddam Hussein. Enable them to be Your agents in bringing to justice the murderer of hundreds of thousands. We pray for his very soon capture.

Almighty Father, You are the all-knowing God and Your word says, "Woe to those who go to great depths to hide their plans from the LORD, who do their work in darkness and think, "Who sees us? Who will know?"

We pray that You would expose Saddam Hussein's works of darkness, that You would expose his location, his plans, and his accomplices.

We pray this to the end that he will be stymied and captured.

Almighty God, even that title speaks of Your glory. You alone are everlastingly able to bring all of creation under subjection to Your Holy will. There will be no force that stands against You. With Your Word You will speak Your enemies into defeat.

And it is the children of The Word who will triumph through Him. His words are telling: "I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy."

The murderer, Saddam Hussein, is truly the child of the enemy. We pray for him to be trampled under the feet of the warriors who are faithful to You. O, Lord of Hosts, set Your angels against him. Bring him to justice through the mighty men who believe in You.

Lord God, You proclaim a time when they will not hurt nor destroy in all Your holy mountain. In this, You signal for us Your hatred of the sin of wanton murder and wanton destruction. Even now the blood of the Kurds killed by WMDs still cries out to You from the ground. Their murderer, Saddam Hussein, still instigates murder against innocents and against all Your people. We pray for him to be captured and for You to execute justice against him. We pray in the name of Jesus; Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Amen.

Bring Saddam and Osama out in the open or guide our troops to where they are. So that not only our troops can come home to there families but the people of Iraq can live in peace. I plead the BLOOD of Jesus for this to come to pass very soon.

And as the Almighty King you will judge Saddam Hussein and all those who have wreaked havoc on Your beloved creation. We learn something of Your intent in Matthew: But when the king heard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forth his armies, and destroyed those murderers, and burned up their city.

We pray Lord God that You will soon bring Saddam Hussein to capture and justice since his murders reek to high heaven.
