Lord God, You are the God who establishes nations, who determines their times and their locations. And, as you held Ninevah accountable for its sin, so you hold our nation accountable for its sin. We confess that we have turned from You and followed after the ideas of philosophy and the behavior of the hedonists. We confess that we have been complicit in the death of our young unborn. We confess that we have focused on the rule of man rather than the rule of freedom and law. We beg your forgiveness. We pray that You bless us once more. We pray for showers of blessings and for the hearts of our people to be returned to You. We pray that we would proudly be known as "that nation that follows God."

Bless those in our military who comprise a Gideon's army, a force of warriors who will acknowledge You in their daily lives. Lead them to victory in the capture of Saddam Hussein. Enable them to be Your agents in bringing to justice the murderer of hundreds of thousands. We pray for his very soon capture.
