"All of the goals are open"
In ice hockey, for various strategic reasons, a goalie will be pulled and the goal left open (essentially undefended). I know Middle Easterners don't play much ice hockey, but they do play soccer, which seems generally similar to hockey from a game rules/strategy perspective. I think the "goals are open" means that the targets are undefended, whatever they are.

I think 55 is the cell code. The message said "To all coasts cells 50, 55, 55, the water, the water, the water. The goal open, they rely on Allah. Tomorrow O Bush is your date." Then it says "All of the goals are open and the hour is 36 and 25 and 36, east of, west of, oblique, took place."

The numbers add up to 97- which is equally meaningless.<<< We need to get the Rev. Farrakahn's take on this. He's good with numbers. 8>)

This is it, old message with seemingly new numbers. I think one poster said the oblisk in the message may be Washington Monument and suggestions for the numbers causing much speculation

I wonder why it was put back in "New"? (I agree it should be in "News"--can't you just see the egg on FR's face if something DID happen, and this thread had been in "Chat" all along?

Since the concept of oblique fits in much better with the other directional words around it, I see no reason to assume it means obelisk, rather than it's actual meaning within the context . . .

Thank you for explaining myself to me! I have appreciated these threads on Free Republic because of all you Freepers who are taking this seriously. You don't have your heads in the sand thinking it cannot happen again here in America. I agree with your post totally.
Well most of us take life & death seriously. Although I expect some were just trying to lighten the mood a bit.
The best we can do is try to keep up with all the info, figure out what we can, learn from it, and help our fellow freepers and others in the areas that would be affected.
BTW Your welcome.

Pentagon . . . good insight . . . and partial damage isn't good enough, based on the WTC scenario . . . and that means the White House and/or the Capitol are still targets . . . anyone know the measure of the angles on the Pentagon . . . inside same as outside?

Someone with more brains than me, please analyze this to see if any of it jives with the terror messages: I snagged it off of http://www.math.washington.edu/
Isosceles triangles in a regular pentagon
Given a regular polygon, we have seen that each vertex angle is 108 = 3*180/5 degrees.
In this figure, draw the diagonal AC.
- Explain why triangle ABC is an isosceles triangle.
- Write down the measure of the angles of the triangle ABC. In the figure, label each angle of triangle ABC with the number of degrees in the angle.
- Then draw diagonal AD and likewise label the measures of the angles in triangle ADE. Why is triangle ADE congruent to triangle ABC?
- Explain why triangle CAD is an isosceles triangle.
- Finally, using what you now about all the angles with vertex at A, write the measure of angle CAD and then label the measures of the other angles of triangle ACD.
- Let s = ||AB| and let d =|AC|. Tell what are the angles in a triangle similar to (1) a triangle with sides s-s-d and (2) a triangle with sides d-d-s.

Angles in a pentagon and pentagram
The familiar 5-pointed star or pentagram is also a regular figure with equal sides and equal angles.

The pentagram can be drawn by drawing all the diagonals of the regular pentagon.

We have seen on the previous page the angles of some isosceles triangles. In particular, the angles 36 degrees, 72 degrees and 108 degrees appeared. In this figure above, mark all the angles of 36 degrees with a single mark, mark the angles of 72 degrees with a double mark, and all angles of 108 degrees with a triple mark.
Ratios in the regular pentagon
Let us label the intersection of AC and BD as F.

Now temporarily ignoring the rest of the figure, concentrate on this triangle with sub-triangle. Label all the angles in the figure with their measures.

Based on the angles, explain why each of the sub-triangles is an isosceles triangle.
- Given that |AC| = d and |CD| = s, what is |CD|?
- Using similar triangles, find an equation relating s and d.
- Now let the ratio r = d/s. Rewrite the equation as an equation in r. (There should be no other variables left.) Then solve for r.

What is "east of" and "west of" the Pentagon? Those are phrases that were used in one of the figures.

Speaking of numbers, a lot was made of the significance of "911" for the terrorists and that the sum of the integers of 911 equals 11.
Well not to scare anybody but tomorrow is 11/11. It is also a Tuesday - the same day as the original attacks. Or exactly 113 weeks since the original attacks. That number 11 is all over the place.
