My Dragon Fly and Me
If I could be a Dragon Fly and wing my way through the sky I would never be shy just me and my Dragon Fly!
By moonlight we ride the wind chase the comets tail for fun by day we would hide from the sun our fragile wings would come undone
On darkest nights we would use fireflies as our guide we would dip and we would glide through the heavens open wide and scatter diamonds in the night sky my Dragon Fly and I...
And we would wing past our lovers silent in the night... to kiss their face in our flight much to their surprise and delight my Dragon Fly and me in sight...
Such a view do we share away up here in the air of breezes soft through our hair my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

THE MAN FROM SNOWY RIVER
Hi Sam,
Wow that is a poem! I read it once, but will go back for a reread (is that a word)? LOL It's a short story.
Listening to the tunes. Thank you much for donuts, coffee and poetry everyday.

so you don't write romantic poetry
I can do without
as long as I can be with you
your laughter sings
your touch is gentle
your lips excite
your eyes shine
with your body you say all the things
I want to hear

Darksheare, you have written like that. I've seen quite of few of your romantic poems. I know it's not your first love and not as easy for you as your "regular" writing but when you do write it, it is very good.
...and I use the term "regular" loosely. LOL.

up ahead there is a fork in the road
a detour from the path we've been on
come down it with me
live and love in the moment
the fork is sure to soon turn
and we will be back on our old path
should we miss this opportunity
the road may not diverge again
let's take this chance
to experience something different
something wonderful
each other

I'm still laughing about it myself.
Umm.. Maudlin doesn't describe it, and Bipolar Writing doesn't describe it.
We may have to invent something to describe my writ.
E.Poeism?

LOL. Let me think about that for awhile. I'm sure we can come up with something. It rather goes along with your coffee dontcha think. LOL.
Oh dear, I'm being cruel. You know I enjoy your writing no matter how bizarre some of it is to me. Some of it is very touching and very sentimental, some very witty. You know of which ones I speak and you know I tease you with only good intentions and hugs! *grin*

The Unseen
Fog and mist enshroud the stars
The lights that illuminate my way
Before, I found it beautiful
Swirling tapestries dancing in the darkness
But now, they are cold, wet obstacles
As quicksand placed between my heart and goal
Formless, yet made of steel
Shapeless, yet aching reminders
When sleep comes, the apparition fades
The sun shines brightly, and she I love
Is with me, at my side, and I remember
The smile, the joy, the happy heart
Now gone, and God knows where
And daybreak brings return of bitter things
I do not wish this.
I wonder, how can man turn back a clock
To when such sadness dared not show its face
Knowing I cannot, I must move on
The fogs cool touch reminds me
That someday, my wish will come true
If I but wait
and wait
and wait.

Cruel??
I think not so, therefore it is not cruelly mentioned but in jest bespoken.
Yes, it does go with my coffee.
Now THAT is an experiment I do not want to partake of:
Reading my writ while experiencing the effects of my coffee.
