Thats what I think also.

People speak of them destroying their own supporters by hitting traditional Democrat cities but I think that they don't really understand American politics. We're all satan to them.

They hit us big again like 9/11 and all but the most idiotic of anti-war folks are going to start supporting an all out attack (by us).

. Don't hold your breath. The libs will blame George Bush and continue to claim that none of this would happened if not for the evil, Israel-loving, American imperialists.

If LA, DC and NYC suffer a nuke attack, we are out of world affairs for the foreseeable future. Every soldier will be recalled to help with relief and reconstruction efforts. We won't be mounting a counterattack. We will be harrassed out of every place that our prior might allowed us access. Afghanistan will flip in about 2 weeks. Saudi Arabia will probably flip too. If we go neighbor against neighbor all the better for the enemy to galvanize support. No answers to this threat other than to retreat and care for the wounded and displaced.

Call me a skeptic, but the next 9/11 style attack will not change our policy towards the Arab world or American Muslims for that matter (not that I believe it shouldn't).
