A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

ARTICLE SNIPPET: "Russia is reluctant to join an 11-nation U.S.-led effort to seize illegal shipments of nuclear and other proliferation materials that could fall in the hands of terrorists, senior U.S. officials said yesterday.
    Even though discussions are still in their initial stage, the officials said the Russians are not yet convinced of the legality and merits of the plan, known as the Proliferation Security Initiative (PSI) and proposed by President Bush in the spring.
    "They are not ready to join the process," a senior State Department official who asked not to be named told reporters. "They are interested but are raising a lot of questions."
    Russia, which has a big navy despite its decline since the Soviet Union's collapse more than a decade ago, would be an "important player" in the PSI, the official said.
    "It would add political weight as one of the founding member of nonproliferation regime," he said.
    The PSI, which Mr. Bush put forth in a speech during a European trip, is designed to intercept on the high seas shipments of illicit arms and other proliferation materials from states and other actors Washington regards as supporters of international terrorism.
    In addition to the United States, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Spain and Australia joined the effort."

Nuclear Plants, Monuments Are Good Targets for Attack, Al Qaeda Manual Says


I S L A M A B A D, Pakistan , Feb. 1 — The instructions are simple but chilling: Attack sites with "high human intensity" like skyscrapers, nuclear plants and football stadiums. Pick targets of "sentimental value" like the Statue of Liberty, Big Ben and the Eiffel Tower.

That's some of the advice to members of Osama bin Laden's al Qaeda fighters on the best ways to kill thousands of people and spread fear in the United States and Europe. It's contained contained in the 11-volume "Manual of Afghan Jihad."

"There must be plans in place for hitting buildings with high human intensity like skyscrapers, ports, airports, nuclear power plants and places where large numbers of people gather like football grounds," the chapter said. It also recommended major public gatherings such as Christmas celebrations.

The manual said special units should work in areas with large Jewish communities. "In every country, we should hit their organizations, institutions, clubs and hospitals," it reads. "The targets must be identified, carefully chosen and include their largest gatherings so that any strike should cause thousands of deaths."

Hmmm. This is all spooky. Does it sometimes feel like your watching a movie and your seeing all the people going about their business before the disaster happens. I feel that way during the day when I take my pug for his walk and I watch the people around me. I think my mind is tripping because I keep reading this thread. I hope so.

I saw the same form of formulas or codes or whatever they are again two nights ago. This time there three or four. They were each at the bottom of a something that looked like a film negative. However, I don't remember the numbers.

I am still trying to figure out jassens. I know jassen is some sort of scandanavian game. I have recently noticed some posts on this thread referencing the Netherlands. If anyone reading this knows how jassen is played please let me know.

I've been searching the last couple of days for info on whether the government has an obligation to protect it's people. I'm not talking here about the Constitution or the oaths taken by various government officials. I haven't found anything, so I'm of the opinion that Gvt. officials are NOT, under the laws, obligated to the protection of their citizens, only to the continuity of the government, be it federal, state or local.

Hi, Tom...Even if the government was under obligation to protect its people, I would not assume that it could, or even would be able to do so. Depending on the scenario, protection of citizens may not be top priority and that is where the citizen must be prepared to fend for himself and his neighbor. Someone rescue me from my cynicism. I know President Bush looked into Putin's eyes and saw a good soul we could work with but anyone can be deceived...Any possibility that the Russians are on our side in this after all, and, both sides forgiving (or willing to overlook) past insecurities between us, are just as anxious to control Islamism as we are? Can't recall...who was the poster who saw this as a Chess Game. I tend to agree and the moves are way ahead of what we are seeing, IMVHO.

Sami Omar Al-Hussayen, a Saudi national working on his computer science doctoral degree, quietly moved his student office from the Computer Science Department into the school's engineering isotope lab, apparently without his adviser's knowledge, according to the documents.

"The investigation of Sami Al-Hussayen has, from its outset, been focused on suspected material support to terrorism, particularly to Osama bin Laden's Al-Qaeda network," FBI agent Michael Gnecknow said in the documents."
