A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.

The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?

The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.

Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.

DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.

Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Plane Lands After Bomb Threat

CBS 2 News has learned that Southwest Airline Flight 1003 took off from Midway Airport and has apparently been called back and returned to the airport after a bomb threat that was called in by phone.

As a precaution, the pilot made the decision to turn the plane around and return to the airport. There were 123 passengers and five crew members onboard.

In such a situation, they normally deplane the passengers, get them out of harm's way and search the airplane very carefully before they bring the plane into the terminal. The passengers will probably be rescreened, put on another flight and go on their way to Phoenix.

The aircraft currently being searched by authorities. Officials estimate there will be a two hour delay before passengers resume the flight, West said.

"Our goal now is to make sure that plane gets the all clear and to get those passengers on their way to Phoenix," said Southwest spokesperson Ed West.

Scare Grounds Chicago Flight in Omaha

CHICAGO (CBS 2) {{{A United Express}}} flight which orginated from Chicago's O'Hare Airport was grounded in Omaha Friday after a security scare.

United Spokesperson Jeff Green said that the United Express flight departed from O'Hare Airport at about 9:00 a.m. Friday morning and arrived around 10:00 a.m. in Omaha.

Green says orginally there had been a report that putty was found with wires sticking out in a lavoratory.

The plane was searched by the F.B.I. and the T.S.A. and the substance was determined to be harmless, but as a result at least one flight was cancelled and several others have been delayed.

The plane has been cleared by the government to resume flying.

CHICAGO -- Southwest Airlines flight No. 1003, from Midway Airport to Phoenix, Ariz., turned around midflight and headed back to Chicago after a bomb threat was received. The threat was reportedly phoned in to the airline from a pay phone within the Chicago city limits, according to Chicago police.

Around 3:40 p.m. Friday, City Aviation Department spokesman Monique Bond confirmed that the plane had turned back.

The flight reportedly took off at 3:05 p.m. and landed back at Midway at 3:45 p.m. Ed Stewart, a Southwest Airlines spokesman said at 4 p.m. that the 129 passengers had deplaned and were preparing to board another flight.

Passengers were safely removed from the aircraft and transported by bus from the field, according to airline spokeswoman Brandy King.

A Southwest Airlines spokesman also told NBC5 that the phoned-in threat appeared credible because of information contained in it. Airline officials notified the Federal Aviation Administration, and air traffic controllers ordered the plane to return.

CHICAGO -- A United Express flight that which had flown from Chicago to Omaha, Neb., earlier in the day, was grounded in Omaha before returning to Chicago because of a security concern Friday afternoon.

NBC5 reported that a flight attendant going through the plane before takeoff found putty with wires sticking out of it in a lavoratory aboard the plane and the pilots grounded the aircraft as a result. United Express spokesman Jeff Green told NBC5 that investigators tested the putty and found that it was not dangerous.

The flight was scheduled to stop in Chicago at 12:30 p.m. and continue on to St. Louis. The Omaha-to-Chicago leg of the flight was flight No. 7129. The Chicago-to-St. Louis leg of the flight was flight No. 7111.

Because of the cancellation, passengers waiting for the flight in Chicago first were told there would be a 2-hour delay and then were forced to take other flights.

I don't live anywhere near NYC; after watching the WTC attack and getting 'dismissal from work' orders, my boss & I were one of the last to leave our bldg on 9/11. He said something about how our whole world was changing that day and many would not be able to look at things the same way anymore. No doubt there was change then and there is change now...there is always change; it just comes down to how we deal with it. (philosopher hat off!)

I wonder if it had a blasting cap or detonator. Secondly, why would somebody even attempt this considering it probably had the same risk as planting an actual bomb. The same element of terror was induced.

It says the return flight is 7111, when I read the Slurpee post 7-11 was my first thought.

We all use fritz, but it isn't in my desk dictionary (old) and when I did a Google search for fritz, on the first page of sites, there is a chemical site. I can't open the foreign sites with this computer, there were two there worth checking, but it froze me up.

I don't know the time line on the Slurpee post, but it sure said that something was not working and we have two planes on the ground, defeating their plans, if that is what they were up to.

How did the wires get thru screening?

Could it have been a part of a motorcycle-electric jacket?

Such as the lady wore last week to stop a plane.

Might not be the proper wire, but the jacket could have been rewired with blasting cap wire.

My memory of the wires used with the blasting caps, look the same as what is in an electric blanket.

You are correct about the escaping citizens being a problem, it will be much worse than facing an invading army.

For me it will be all those liberals from California who say that the terrorists are a ruse to get Bush re-elected.

At times I can get Dr. Bill Wattenberg on KGO radio, a verrry liberal station out of San Francisco, he is not a liberal and offers good info.

On the question of trying to get out of town, he tried to explain to the callers that first you had to have a place to escape too........

Do a search for info on Israel, I have read in depth reports on their "safe rooms", in the center of the house or away from windows, sealed tight to keep out what is in the air.

I got the impression that most Israel homes have one.
