[history]
Monday, November 3, 2003
A new message was posted in the last few hours by the Jeddah-based al-Qaeda-linked Al-Islah (Reform) society calling on Muslims to flee New York, Washington and Los Angeles in advance of major al Qaeda attacks in those cities. This is revealed by DEBKAfile.
The message accuses the United States of predetermining its end (doom) by its policies. ?The Jews rule the Pentagon by remote control and (are the cause) of Muslims being killed in every corner of the world. The United States should therefore expect more blows.?
The message is signed on behalf of the al Bayan (The Threat) movement by ?your warrior brother, Abul Hassan al Khadrami?.
Our Muslim expert identifies the name of the signatory as belonging to a Yemeni from Hadhrameuth, the Bin Ladens? place of origin where Osama enjoys substantial tribal support.
DEBKAfile?s counter-terror sources stress that warnings appearing on these forums are taken both very seriously and with caution by the intelligence services keeping track of the terrorist network?s electronic traffic.
Last November, Jeddah-based fundamentalist forums addressed a message to an Al Qaeda member, saying whoever understands ? understands; whoever knows, knows, but we are marching towards an operation that will take us to Paradise. Three days later, the Mombasa Paradise hotel was blown up killing 12 Kenyans and 3 Israelis and a failed shoulder-launched Strela anti-air missile missed an Israeli airliner at Mombasa airport.

Here's a germane excerpt from that head spinner:
"Either the jets were ordered to stand down (get your tinfoil hats on!) or the military was asleep at the switch and thus criminally negligent."
"I heard parts of the hearing on C-SPAN yesterday. It turns out there was a NORAD exercise the morning of 9/11. I suspect initial reports of what was going on that morning were discounted as being part of the exercise."
"But that raises the question: how were the terrorists able to learn and take advantage of the timing of that exercise? Just as we've had to wonder how they later that morning showed knowledge of White House codes and communication procedures."
Given the duplicitous arab-american translators the FBI had working for us is it any wonder?

...use Purell to clean your hands after having touched common items...
I am going to show your post to my parents who went on an Alaskan cruise last fall. I insisted they use Purell as often as possible & they thought I was nuts or being obsessive-compulsive! Thanks for the "back-up," oceanview!

French officials fear the suspect may have a small bomb whose components might get past airport security, the network said.
Hmmm. One wonders where might that small bomb be hiding. By cracky, I think I know.

Interesting! Along with BurbankKarls post that AF68 was escorted into LAX again yesterday makes one wonder.

Thank you for restoring hope and faith in this government.

Well this goes right to the issue of our border security doesn't it. Ricin or Meth? Collision near Calexico and then headed north, they had to come across somewhere why didn't they find that stuff at the border?

If caught without potassium iodide you can cover one arm in betadine.
Is it potassium iodide or iodine and where do you get it? With the betadine, do you just cover one arm - shoulder to wrist? Keep reapplying?

I wonder if "Call 19" from the recent Bin Laden photo/collage has any association to this "Call and Combat" group. I was thinking the same thing BCA as soon as I saw the posting of their group name. I don't recall hearing of this group before. But we read and we learn.
Salafi Group for Call and Combat
ARMED ISLAMIC GROUP TERRORISM
Security forces in Algeria have killed one of the world's most dangerous terrorists. On February 8th, Antar Zouabri [AHN-tar zoo-WAH-bree] was shot dead in a gun-battle in Boufarik [BOO-fahr-rik], near Algiers, the capital. Since 1996, Zouabri had been the leader of the Armed Islamic Group.
An Islamic extremist terrorist group, the Armed Islamic Group aims to overthrow the secular Algerian government and replace it with an Islamic state. It began its campaign of terror in early 1992, after the government voided the victory of the Islamic Salvation Front in legislative elections.
The Armed Islamic Group has massacred thousands of Algerian men, women and children, sometimes wiping out entire villages. Since 1993, it has targeted foreigners living in Algeria and killed more than one hundred -- mostly Europeans. In addition to car bombings and other forms of murder, the group specializes in kidnapping victims and cutting their throats.
A splinter faction called the Salafi Group for Call and Combat emerged in 1998. Both terrorist groups continue to reject Algerian President Abdelaziz Bouteflika's [ahb-dehl ah-ZEEZ boo-tah-FLEE-kah's] offer of amnesty to insurgents who surrender. A third terrorist group, the Islamic Salvation Army, accepted the amnesty and disbanded in 2000. The Algerian government estimates that terrorism by these groups has caused the deaths of more than one-hundred thousand people since 1992.

"Store food and water. (I buy my storage food from waltonfeed.com, I have absolutely no connection with them. Check out the survival links to the website, lots of info on how to survive.)"
Hi Granny, I bought from Waltonfeed prior to the Y2k threat. I was very pleased with their price and service. I have a closet dedicated to a 6 month supply of food that is still non perishable for another 6-8 years because of the freeze dried packing. It offers great piece of mind to know in an emergency my family is not dependent on grocery stores, and that as the man of my house I have provision covered. We also have a water purifier and a 1000 gallon goldfish pond in the back yard. I like the sound of the waterfall anyway.
Am i a survival nut? Maybe, But my family wont starve. And we wouldnt get fat while our neighbors starve but we would share with those we could trust. People should at least store some drinking water and stock up on canned goods, its not like it wont be used anyway.

Informational Advisory 2004-001T
Air travelers are advised to remain vigilant even after boarding an aircraft and urged to notify flight personnel of unusual interaction between seemingly unrelated passengers.
7 January 2004-- Information obtained exclusively by the Northeast Intelligence Network provided additional insight into the terrorists' operational plans involving at least one and perhaps more of the recently grounded flights. According to these sources, the following method of operation is "continuing" and will likely result in additional international flights being grounded.
It is already well known that women are being used as "mules" to smuggle explosive material onto airplanes. The other undisclosed aspect of these plans, according to information confirmed by intelligence officials, is that each woman is "accompanied" by 1-2 other people onto a targeted aircraft. The other passengers do not appear to have any connection to the female passenger whatsoever and even carry passports from other countries. These covert associates carry other electronic items that alone, appear harmless (such as a personal CD player, for example) but are actually intended to be used as components for the explosive device. These items are checked and pass through security as they are operational.
Once aboard the aircraft, there is "quiet" interaction between operatives to pass all of the necessary bomb-making components to the delegated operative who assembles the device in the bathroom of the aircraft. At that point, they have "successfully" breached the intense security and have a workable and deadly explosive device that has been assembled at 30,000 feet.
Open source documentation of recent aircraft incidents offering "bits and pieces" of this plan are not making any reference or connection to the above scenario. Research conducted by by Jill St. Claire cite the following news items that "hint" but do not fully disclose the extent of the operation:

A bomb that tore through a group of curious children in this southern city was hidden in an apple cart, police said Wednesday, as the death toll rose to 15.The sons of bitches. I wonder why Muslims themselves don't tear these Jihadist bastards limb from limb.

PepsiCo Inc., the number two soft drink company, said January 7, 2004 it signed a deal with Baghdad Soft Drinks Co. to bottle and distribute Pepsi products in Iraq . yes, very accurate description of how it would go down I think. notice when that BA flight into Dulles was held, there was a report asking a muslim woman on board "why aren't you traveling with your husband?". that makes perfect sense now.
