~The Dragon Flies Lair III~
October 18, 2003 | bentfeather

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Every single line of this is wonderful. Like SAM remembers the poem of the tree from his school days I remember this poem.*sigh* My favorite lines;

I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach

I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.

I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life!

Sonnet
I love this poem too. It's like music.

I remember Trees by Joyce Kilmer, too, as well as other poems from the sixth grade.

Cats

Gentle eyes that see so much,
paws that have the quiet touch,
Purrs to signal "all is well"
and show more love than words could tell.
Graceful movements touched with pride,
a calming presence by our side --
A friendship that takes time to grow --
Small wonder why we love them so.

Today is a week from last Thursday.

We are living tomorrow's history today.

Glad to meet you. Do you actually build 3 wheeled bikes?

I like motorcycles almost as much as airplanes. What do use as a base for your machines?

Triker has so little time these days, Flurry. When he comes back around he will most probably chat with you regarding his beloved Trikes.

Was love a morning
moving a horizon
to cover a sea
silenced love
in cool soft stillness?
