My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Sick and Tired

I’m sick of being sick and tired,
Yes something has to give.
It could not be my lifestyle,
You know the way I live.
So if I say, “I’m sick and tired”,
Please take it with a grain.
I’m really only sick and tired,
Of folks without a brain.
The democrats, the lib’ral press,
The folks in Hollywood.
They really want to wreck this land,
These folks aren’t up to good.
Don’t vote for dems, they mean you harm,
Don’t buy the New York Times.
Don’t go to see the movie show,
Please don’t support these slimes.
You see they need your money to,
Continue their crusade.
Let’s cut them off and then we’ll see,
The idiot’s parade.
They’ll whine and squeal that we aren’t fair,
That we have censored speech.
No they can say what they will say,
But they aren’t out of reach.
The reach of Free America,
To say enough’s, enough.
They’ll find that down here on the ground,
Life can sure be tough.

4 hours sleep in 48, and 4 more to snore now, and then the last of my 12 hour shifts for a few days. Maybe I'll be able to get some poems out then that I've been working on!?!

A Poem Upon Tea



Hail, Drink of life! How justly shou'd our Lyres
Resound the Praises which thy pow'r inspires!

It grows on little bushes,
Not trees or even vine.
The bean needs to be roasted,
Then brewed into fine wine.
Colombia, does grow the best,
I like mine mountain grown.
No cream, no sugar in it,
Starbucks, yeech, I moan.
Just hot and fresh and in a cup,
I really like it black.
