~The Dragon Flies Lair III~
October 18, 2003 | bentfeather

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

Don't mind at all.
Haven't checked to see if it's inspired anything as of yet at the time of this posting.
Still can't remember the last story section I tossed out there.
And have been busy the past two days.
*ugh!*

You know, you're one of the few to actually notice the rose and the boot print in that sketch?
Even fewer notice the necklace held in the left hand, barely visible from behind the cloak edge?

Hi Darksheare!!

I should be inspired to write something from the graphic. It really is moving, a haunting, sadness.

Oh Dark, I did notice the boot print and I caught my breath. I know I did not comment on that to you, but I did have a very strong reaction.

Heart riping is more like it.

Just wait until I scan "Tracker's Vigil" and it's accompanying sketch.

That particular sketch is titled "My descent, my December".
Titled half in part by the Linkin Park song.

Linkin Park-this is my december

this is my december
this is my time of the year
this is my december
this is all so clear

this is my december
this is my snow covered home
this is my december
this is me alone

and i
just wish that i didnt feel
like there was something i missed
and i
take back all the things i said
to make you feel like that
and i
just wish that i didnt feel
like there was something i missed
and i
take back all the things i said to you

and i give it all away
just to have somewhere to go to
give it all away
to have someone to come home to

this is my december
these are my snow covered dreams
this is me pretending
this is all i need

and i
just wish that i didnt feel
like there was something i missed
and i
take back all the things i said
to make you feel like that
and i
just wish that i didnt feel
like there was something i missed
and i
take back all the things i said to you

and i give it all away
just to have somewhere to go to
give it all away
to have someone to come home to

this is my december
this is my time of the year
this is my december
this is all so clear

and i give it all away
just to have somewhere to go to
give it all away
to have someone to come home to

There you are. Good afternoon. I've been kinda busy lately and besides Foxhole threads I've been just posting and running I'm afraid.

Good to see you.

I feel love
under a silky dusk sky
completely artifical and empty
without a desire for life...

Feathered love dances effortlessly
your gravity arcs enviously
your eyes found a vessel
for ethereal wings
you defied splendor...

Feathered Love

I watch two, winged lovebirds up above,
captured in old- fashioned, feathered love.
They soar indigo-painted mountains,
and bathe in unfermented fountains.

Gallant male chooses his mate for life,
and remains faithful unto his wife.
They soar across aquamarine skies,
with hope and faith branded in their eyes.

He never strays from her precious side,
and always tends the needs of his bride.
Their nest is built with honesty's twigs,
and their hearts feast on eternity's figs.

I long to be wrapped in wings of a dove,
and know this kind of untainted love.
I want to look into my lover's eyes,
and know our hearts can soar sapphire skies.

I loved your phrase "feathered love" and thought I'd see if there was any poetry with that phrase.

You know I have no idea where that came from for me. It happens.
