~The Dragon Flies Lair III~

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

I love Floyd Cramer.

Yes, Flurry his music is very good. I don't have any of his music in my closet. Music files are huge soooooo I don't have many.

Charlie Rich (the Silver Fox) could turn a tune vocally but he kind of played his piano Cramer style. Listen to "A Very Special Love Song" my favorite Charlie Rich song to sing. You'll hear the Cramer influence. Even "Behind Closed Doors" has a trace of Floyd.

Oh yes, that's so...

The Silver Fox was a very sexy man....great singer, too.

Alas, gone as is beloved Johny Cash. Johnny died when I was in TN.

Go to my profile page. At the bottom click Johnny Cash. Read my little tribute poem (I actually cut 5 verses out of the poem before I posted it to keep it short and sweet), then surf for all the tunes posted by other freepers. It was a good thread for a great man.

Charlie was fond of saying what I say too. You sing a little better after a few drinks.

What a voice, what a love he and June had.

Not too many drinks. Just a couple. Too many and the tongue messes up the sound.

Thank you snippy.
It will come back in time. You have a lot going on beside writing poetry.

Lilacs Bloom

When lilacs bloom
my thoughts wander to you
of sweet aromas an walking
down lilac avenues in Lilac Eden.

In our innocence of love
we hand in hand smile in our secret affair
of May afternoons, love in bloom the innocence of love in Lilac Time...

Dreamy in my thoughts of
warm May afternoons remembering...

the good the bad the ugly
but lost in your eyes of love
the warmth of your face near mine
and the sting your five o'clock shadow
on my cheek and lilacs in my hair...

even more than that ... I want you still
until there is no remembrance of lilacs in the air
nor a rhapsody of rhythm and
lilac dances nor stray lilacs in my hair...

Promise of His Song

You are a precious gift from God in my eyes,
please let's not let our friendship wane ever
I pray you never stop writing poetry to me...
I feel very special and deeply touched
You and your poetry make me feel good
I will always be happy that we became friends
can share with each other ...
...no games though
we could not do that to one another
so precious we are in each others eyes
there will never be any lies...

Because you are my dear friend
I care for you deeply and I would
be sad if you said goodbye...
I jealously guard you, your friendship
you brighten my life very much
I am humbled and honored to be your friend...

Because you are more valued to me
than a bucket of gold I'll be here
forever friend...
I care for you deeply
and I will here tomorrow for you...

Blue
Poets often write of blue
songsters sing of blue
trust comes in true blue
Loyality is Blue blood, too
A day with out you is blue
Blues Skies Shining On Me
A Blue heart
Am I blue?
