~The Dragon Flies Lair III~

My Dragon Fly and Me

If I could be a Dragon Fly
and wing my way through the sky
I would never be shy
just me and my Dragon Fly!

By moonlight we ride the wind
chase the comets tail for fun
by day we would hide from the sun
our fragile wings would come undone

On darkest nights we would use
fireflies as our guides
we would dip and we would glide
through the heavens open wide
and scatter diamonds in the night sky
my Dragon Fly and I...

And we would wing past our lovers
silent in the night...
to kiss their face in our flight
much to their surprise and delight
my Dragon Fly and me in sight...

Such a view do we share
away up here in the air
of breezes soft through our hair
my Dragon Fly and me a pair...

The Dragon-Fly

By the clear green river,
One afternoon in early autumn,
A dragon-fly with crimson wings alit
On the white thigh of my belovèd;
And, ever since it flew,
More fully have I known the loveliness
And the transiency of days;
And love and beauty burn within me
Like the piled leaves of blood and amber
That burn at autumn's ending.

Clark Ashton Smith

Both my kids, daughter oldest and son the youngest were taught to have a strong work ethic. They have been helped all along the way as long as they were helping themselves. Both have their BS and son is working on his masters. Both worked all through college. I prepaid their tuition and bought a CD in each of their names when they were still in elementary school. The deal was if they maintained a B or above average they owe me nothing. Neither owes me a dime.

Fantastic kids Flurry!!

My girls started working in high school and have never stopped. Of course, they had tough work at home too. They worked in the woods with their dad cutting and buzzing wood for our furnace. We also had a custom cutting/slaughter house/meat shop where we did all the work.

The girls worked hard and still do raising their families.

I helped mine more than they ever expected. They understand how much they got and are quick to thank me and others. I was the 3rd of 6 kids so my parents did good to feed us. Both have worked hard since they were very young, (even when their help was more in the way), my daughter and son know how to drive a nail, change oil, replace electrical fixtures, drop a deer at 200 yards, and how to count their blessings.

Me too, on the help thingy, when I could.

Now I can do more to help but their kids are growning up and leaving the nest.

We have one high school senior this year.

It will be a few years more for the last two youngsters.

I'm looking forward to being a grandpa in the next couple of years. That will be a lot more fun.

Yes I want my kids to complain about me spoiling their kids. I'll explain that I had a lot of practice spoiling them.

Silver shimmering seas
and your whispers...
like a breeze,
kiss my hair
your love is delicious blue...

This and That.

In the United States, 86 percent of Americans decorate their homes for Halloween.

In the United States, about 8 percent of pet owners dress their pets in costumes at Halloween.

The early Celtic calender began on November 1st each year, which was celebrated with the festival of Samain, when ghosts and demons roamed the earth. This was later instituted in 835 AD as All Saints' Day, or as we know it now, Halloween.
