..since I, as well as most posters here I assume, consider FR as more than just the best conservative news aggregator, but a conservative community of both fellowship as well as debate, then consistent with this I also would encourage ownership to treat it more as such, with regular explanations for problems, particular needs, and future plans.
I also believe that presenting a list of operating [and admin] expenses, meaning where donor's money is going, would elicit more. Also if needed, accept user help with technical issues, for I am sure many would gladly do so.
But most importantly, please do not compromise with its historical moral conservative stand, for God (Thy kingdom come) and for a country under Him, much as overall expressed by its late founder, and not reflect the degradation flowing from forsaking that (including tolerance of vulgarity and profanity).

West Coast servers have the Blue Flu. They are intentionally throttling FR and other conservative sites. This doesn’t happen with lib sites. They load fast................

Just to post this comment here, meant I had to wait 3 times longer than usual for the screen to catch up with my request. Here’s hoping my post will not clone itself and repeat five or six or seven times in a row, inadvertently soaking up more bandwidth.
I wonder if the Colorado cake law can be put to renumerative use.
Not only constant time outs, but double and triple posts as people frustratingly hit the “post” button when nothing happens.

Yes, and while this happened in the past, Jim Rob would let us know what the problem was, whereas the lack of communication by the admins to the community is what resulted in my post.

I find the 504 timeout relaxing. Like the internet is trying to tell me to find the time to relax. There’s not much on the screen but if you stare at it long enough you may get drowsy.

I suspect the necessary IT person or staff to fix this latest issue is beyond the FR budget.
Too bad in 2026 if it ain’t broken, leave it alone, doesn’t work.
Hackers and DDOS outfits are constantly finding newer and worse ways to interfere in internet data and good usage.
FR needs a forum user that is in the IT business to step forward and assist whomever runs FR today.
Matters can’t just be left to ‘go away on their own’
I’m in Northern Illinois. I haven’t been getting any 504 Timeouts, but FR is running slower than usual- just going to the page to post this took about 10 seconds. Sometimes it is its old speedy self again, but mostly there are delays.
Thank you for calling out the profanity. When FR started up, it was not tolerated. Mods/administrators seem to have folded completely on this.
