You’re arguing with psychosis. They’re screaming about things that aren’t there.
The first task of defeating political opponents is to understand who they are. What is it that Democrats think they’re doing? And what they think they’re doing in 2026 amounts to a relentless ritual hallucination in the service of an institutional status quo. They’re making up a fake world in their heads to protect their paychecks: in media, in academia, in government, in the results-not-required world of the nonprofit organization.
If you doubt that, go read the opinion pages of The New York Times, the agenda-setting newsletter of the government and nonprofit class. You couldn’t possibly do better than to start with Nicholas Kristof’s Oct. 24 column about Mean Orange Man, the journalistic equivalent of a street crazy babbling to himself on a bus bench. The theme of the essay is American norms. Trump is a deviation; Kristof is fighting for things that are normal.
To borrow from Mary McCarthy: Every word is a lie, including “and” and “the.” Pick any paragraph. Here’s one: “Norms of self-restraint historically made the system work. Presidents did not try to crush law firms or universities, nor did their administrations mislead federal courts or send armed officers into cities, where they shot people. Presidents quarreled with allies but didn’t threaten to invade Greenland.”
Every word is insane and overwrought, but “nor did their administrations mislead federal courts or send armed officers into cities, where they shot people” is very special. There have never been armed federal officers in American cities before? Federal agents never shot anyone until Mean Orange Trump?

They’re screaming about things that aren’t there.
It’s a democrat trade mark media approved.
No matter how much you spend you are never going to fix the problem of the moon being taken over by trans dimensional elves riding dragons.
And they demand more and more money be spent on these imaginary problems and bewail the lack of results as a sign of how big these imaginary problems are.
This results in people becoming discouraged from doing anything. Nothing is of worth unless we can fix the moon problem. And we can't fix the moon problem because ( fill in villain of the week here ). So trying to get people to act on real and solvable problems becomes harder and harder. How can you want me to pick up trash along the river when the moon is being taken over! Don't you care about the moon?
And people who have a passing acquaintance with reality finally throw up their hands and say forget it. Normal people are the majority. But the media is not interested in giving them a voice. They are not interesting.
would some conservative with deep pockets perform a hostile take over of the NY Times?
Well, reality can REALLY suck, especially when your head is kept too long up your ass!
If anyone knows about that art of having their up their ass you own it.
Since the lockdowns it has gotten way worse.
An old favorite.
“A Killing of the Mind”
Lots of captured people out there.

It discusses the surgical intervention required to deal with a milady stemming from what must be a virulent viral or bacteriological infection. So far scientists have been unable to determine the source, but it has been correlated with exposure to ivy league universities, mainstream media, and social media outlets like Facebook. It seems to spread most persistently among people who crave wide popular acceptance.
I do wish there was an excepted intervention and an institute dedicated to performing this surgery.
