The largest children's hospital in Texas officially opened the first-ever detransition clinic on Monday, providing care for patients up to age 21 who have undergone so-called gender affirming care.
The grand opening comes five months after Texas Children's Hospital settled a lawsuit with the Trump administration, which included the clinic and an agreement to pay more than $10 million in damages and civil penalties to resolve allegations it submitted false billings to public and private payors to secure insurance coverage for medicalized pediatric gender transitions.
"Today, Texas Children’s Hospital has officially launched their Detransition Clinic," Vanessa Sivadge, founder of Protect Texas Children and the clinic's whistleblower, wrote on X. "I extend my heartfelt gratitude once again to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and my attorneys at the Burke Law Group for their extraordinary dedication, sacrifice, and tireless efforts throughout this fight.
"I think of all the detransitioners who have suffered in silence, been dismissed, and fought desperately to have their voices heard. This win is for them," she continued. "I hope TCH’s admirable effort to fund and launch Americas first detransition clinic becomes a turning point for the entire country. That this clinic is not the exception, but the first of many."
The new clinic will provide services to minors including endocrinology, surgery, primary care, fertility counseling, psychiatry, psychology, social work/case management, and speech pathology.

I’m waiting for the lawsuits and massive damage awards against doctors, insurers, hospitals and Big Pharma. They’re coming. Many of these companies deserve to be bankrupted for all the grotesque harm they’ve caused by mutilating children.
P.S. if there’s any justice, psychologists and schools will be held liable too.
