They did not rule in favor of preserving the country.

They granted a stay of a lower court’s order and agreed to hear arguments on the matter later, probably next year.

This is not a huge victory - it’s not even a victory at all.

Granted, it’s only a temporary victory until oral arguments are held later, but I’ll take it and be glad to have it. ICE will no doubt be dumping as many of the illegals as it can into ANY country who will take them, thus getting rid of many of them.

The worst case scenario is that the ruling this fall will go against the present practice, slowing down the process as to those countries who do not want to take their own citizens back(!).

I think that the court will likely approve the present practice after the full hearing, with the gals opposing it again.
