I was having a conversation on X about this incident ... being a good bit more “diplomatic” about it I said something to the effect that they simply were not ready for the intricacies of a major event like this.
The ambulance driver was fast asleep inside his locked ambulance. He was so far deep asleep that even with people banging loudly on the doors of his ambulance, he still didn't wake up for 15 minutes.
In his defense, after the ambulance arrived and was doing its job, the driver was described by onlookers as appearing fresh and well rested.

One thing interesting about this is that it illustrates that any attempt by China to invade Taiwan is probably doomed because few in China want to take responsibility for making decisions. Officers and men would probably freeze from fear of committing themselves to making decisions on a battlefield. The attitude there appears to be “Not my problem.”
I have been around the world and I can tell you categorically, indubitably and undeniably that this is the greatest country in the world!

Near the end of the video one of the commentators talked about how in China it is about losing face. I think that is most of Asia. Even Taiwan.
Wait til you read about how the Chinese Army missile forces have been stealing rocket fuel and replacing it water. Incompetence is the least of their problems.

Tuckered out from double-duty, perhaps. China went from shooting people in the head to using ambulance vans where victims are (supposedly) anesthetized before their organs are harvested - nice and quiet so as not to alarm the public.
