In an August 22, 2026 address at an event organized in Turkey by the Quds International Institution, which was aired on Palestine Today TV (Palestinian Islamic Jihad), Ali Al-Qaradaghi, secretary-general of the Qatar-based International Union of Muslim Scholars (IUMS), said that if it were not for the October 7 Al-Aqsa Flood, events in Europe and America would not be unfolding as they are. He said that Zohran Mamdani would not have been elected in New York, and Abdulrahman El-Sayed would not have defeated a $73 million campaign in the Michigan primary race. He concluded: "These are the blessings of the Al-Aqsa Flood."
Ali Al-Qaradaghi: "If not for the Al-Aqsa Flood, and if the Zionists were not put to shame, what is happening in Europe and America would not be happening, Mamdani would not have become governor of New York State [sic], and Adbulrahman El-Sayed would not have defeated a campaign worth $73 million. These are all the blessings of the Al-Aqsa Flood."

To be fair, while they clearly should be universally condemned, the October 7 attacks are not necessarily being universally condemned.
Ridiculous as it seems, there appears to be a huge push in favor of somehow blaming Israel for 10/7.
Come to think of it, given the monstrous left turn we experienced domestically after the JFK assassination (we went from: A freakshow middlebrow socialist shot Kennedy, to (literally within 2-3 days): We all shot Kennedy, to (within months): Conservative Americans are responsible for Kennedy’s death), it’s not out of the question for a lie this huge to survive and thrive in the U.S.
Foolish as it may seem, the JFK propaganda-fueled switcheroo seems to have “stuck”. Conservatives are still paying the price for Oswald’s crime.
Truly nobody is immune to the “Big Lie” technique.

Reality itself seems to be being rubbished. By some people from whom you would have expected better.
As if seeking the truth is old fashioned. Or due to a sense that nobody can know the truth anyway so why put in the effort to try to figure out what is true and what is false.
The Catholic faithful can never be seen to adopt this attitude, which if course is anti-Christic.
