An unearthed clip of Democrat candidate James Talarico from an appearance on the Higher Learning podcast in 2025 showed that the progressive agreed with the assessment that Christians are the "villains" of American society.
In an episode published on August 5, Van Lathan Jr., host of Higher Learning, went on an extensive rant proclaiming that American Christians nationwide are “villains” and “mean people” who he expected to see “saying something wild,” all while Talarico laughed and nodded in agreement. Talarico then told Lathan Jr. that he didn’t believe that Christianity as “defining someone as a good person” was dead, but agreed that his "assessment is spot on.”
Talarico’s strain of “good person” Christianity comes from St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, headed by Jim Rigby. Rigby has employed the use of an “inclusive Bible” that forbids solely masculine pronouns for God and considers the use of titles like “King” or “Lord” for Jesus Christ to be akin to “rape culture.” St. Andrew’s Presbyterian distributes sexually explicit books to children with the message that “God is queer, and funds Planned Parenthood and trans youth summer camps.
Just one month after his appearance on Higher Learning, Talarico would launch his bid for the U.S. Senate and attempt to walk back his far-left stances.
Talarico has been at the center of a number of controversies for his past anti-Christian remarks or heretical beliefs about the faith. He has dubbed himself as a ‘Christian who hates Christianity,” joked that introducing the faith to your children is the equivalent of “forcing beer on minors,” claimed that God is not Christian, and attempted to use the Annunciation of the Lord as justification for abortion.
Talarico will face off against Republican candidate Ken Paxton for the Texas Senate seat in just 68 days.

Some people think this guy’s got a chance. Would they bet their own money on it?
“Some people think this guy’s got a chance.”

If he does, we (the USA) don’t.
Just another rant by a member of what seems hell bent on becoming the DEMONRAT Party!
talarico is an absurd candidate
Is he a commie too — or just a person who hates Christians?
If the majority are devil worshipers , i guess that’s what we are.
As an aside, I would very much like to know the ‘whole story’ about Mr. Talarico. More importantly, I hope the electorate in Texas gets to know who he is before the election.
I have one simple litmus test. Ask yourself if you would trust a specific person watching over your children, or your dogs etc. I wouldn't trust someone like Talarico with a pet rock.
Well, there goes that voting base.

he is mental. more than typical dim.
Talarico’s method of diplomacy:
Complete surrender and enthusiastic submission to the growing Muslim influences in Texas.
Seeing nothing worth defending or protecting under the Christian faith. Sad.
The sublime stupidity and arrogance of these cretins astounds me, even to this day... when these crazy leftists spew. Whether it is pro-Muslim or anti-Chrisian rhetoric.... I keep being “surprised” at the depths that they manage to stoop to... right here in America, the last bastion of hope and of freedom on planet earth.
I know I shouldn’t be surprised, amazed, stunned, etc..., but I can’t help it. I previously only ‘thought’ that I had a good imagination. But I just can’t wrap my head around the intensity of evil that we’re seeing, increasingly so, these days.
If anyone doubts that we are indeed “in the last days”... I would advise that you think again.
Like Christians are hijacking airplanes to fly into buildings? Gunning down Jews in our cities?
The ads against Talarico are starting to come out. Several ads were aired on Talarico’s vote to allow Chinese entities to purchase farmland in Texas a couple of years ago. Those didn’t come from Paxton’s campaign, but I expect to see Paxton’s ads to air after Labor Day.
No kidding. Once we kicked GOD and His SON, JESUS, out of this country look at how fast we have fallen!!!
Wake me up when Paxton starts flooding the airways with commercials showing this clip.
Opie Tidepodfreako is a real aho. Texans who vote for the commie piggy needs their cowboy hats stomped on and their bull’s ass kicked.
All that is missing with this guy is the Nazi tattoo.
I think he missed the class about running for the Senate of the United States.
