Harold Ford Jr. is, by any honest measure, the smarter liberal who joins the table on Fox News' The Five. That's not saying much when the other option is Jessica Tarlov, but hey, it’s something. Tarlov is a party booster every step of the way. She pushes Democrats' talking points blindly. Ford is far more willing to call out his party when it deserves it, which he did on Tuesday, when he admitted that Democrats will lose if they embrace the DSA’s policies.
"If we believe that the DSA, their ideas are the right ones for the country, then we're going to lose," Ford said. He pointed to last week's Wisconsin results as proof the socialist wing of the party is gaining ground it shouldn't. "We may win a few primaries, and I was delighted to see the Wisconsin outcome last week," he said, "with the young fellow Crowley coming from behind." He added that another candidate, El-Sayed, "only won by a very, very small amount," a margin Ford treated as a warning sign rather than a victory lap.
That's a devastating admission from inside the tent. Ford said Democratic voters are more focused on kitchen-table economics than revolutionary politics, and that when they realize the Democratic Socialists of America "are not for them," they'll bolt. He even agreed with strategist James Carville's blunt assessment from the night before, though Ford tried to soften it. "I won't go as far as my friend James, who used the word 'fools,'" he said. "But you are foolish if you believe these ideas are not only going to win, but are going to make the country stronger and better."

I worry they are changing the Overton Window. It’s already changed significantly. Republicans today or to the left of Democrats 20 years ago on a lot of issues. Even Republicans are rabidly pro-LGBT today.

Obama does not “speak well”. He can read a speech written by others on a TelePrompTer. Absent the latter, Obama is typically a tongue-tied babbling buffoon. Also, he ain’t “black” in the sense of how that term is generally used. He’s a mulatto, with little to no exposure to the black community. He lives among white folk and always has.

Yeah but even though Ford Jr is an Obama type, I can tolerate listening to him, I cant stand Jessica Tarlov, OMG she is just HORRIBLE..from her voice on down the line..and Greg cant stand her, notice when she’s on he’s not there, because he hates her you can see it all over his face he hates the b*tch..and she pals around with Hasan Piker which is ironic, a guy who said that we deserved 9/11, palling around with a woman whose own father died as a result of being exposed to the dust near the towers, so she’s basically saying that yeah her dad deserved to die
The republicans are doing worse, I think. No Save Act, no doubling down on fraud, treating Trump as a lame duck, not supporting mass deportation and more worthlessness. Come on, republicans, do something.
