Something has gone wrong somewhere along the way in America and New York City.
Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s wife Rama Duwaji is heading to Syria and Lebanon next month – and she’s bringing along cops assigned to the First Couple’s taxpayer-funded NYPD detail, The Post has learned.
Duwaji will be jetting to the Middle East for a trip beginning Sept. 20 to the countries on the State Department’s “Do Not Travel” list for Americans because of dangerous conditions, a source said. Duwaji, a 29-year-old Syrian-American artist, has ties to the region and refers to herself as a “Syrian Illustrator” on her website. Her parents are Syrian Muslims originally from Damascus.
Syrian was taken over by Al Qaeda and ISIS Jihadis as part of a Turkish backed coup. Lebanon continues to be dominated by Hezbollah.
Both Islamic terror groups have a lot of American blood on their hands.
They’re the sort of enemies that the NYPD used to track, now they’re providing security for an Islamic terror supporter traveling to an Al Qaeda state in the wake of the 25th anniversary of September 11.
I don’t imagine there’s any danger for Mamdani’s wife, but there’s likely some danger for the NYPD unless there’s members of the force’s growing Muslim contingent.
Our response to September 11 was to try to benevolently bring ‘democracy’ to the Muslim world while bringing as many people from Muslim countries to America as possible in order to protect them from themselves.
This is how it’s working out so far. And as Europe constantly reminds us, there’s still further we can fall unless we wake up.

What are you talking about? The mayor is the police commissioner’s boss lol. If the mayor says “my wife gets a detail when she travels” then she gets a detail when she travels. It has been like that since the beginning.
It is a major flaw in the way American government has evolved.
The police in cites are hired or appointed by politicians. There is no direct accountablility to the people, as there are with sheriffs, who are elected.
A worthwhile reform to consider is requiring police chiefs to be elected, as sheriffs are.

That would be a disaster in NYC. The moron voters would elect an America-hating trans black furry to run the police. The mayors wife having a security detail is normal. What is definitely NOT normal in this situation is where she’s going. THAT is what should not have been approved. But the voters of NYC wanted people like this representing them, so this is what they get.
After Trump’s first presidency, the word went around from whoever is the Democratic lead to, “STOP COVERING TRUMP!” And the press obediently, for the most part, dropped Trump from the headlines. The thinking was the press was giving Trump billions in free publicity and that was hurting the Democratic party and helping Trump. It didn’t work for a variety of reasons...Trump was right, Trump was a showman, Trump had good ideas people liked...on and on.
I mention this because giving Mamdani free coverage, while serving to alert the right people, it’s encouraging the wrong people and really energizing them. Some balance may be in order here.

If I was a NYC resident, I’d be asking what possible official business the Mayor’s wife could have in these Countries and the justification for spending taxpayer money on her trip and her security. Heck, as far as I’m concerned, the Mayor has no business going to these Countries, either.
We should have nuked the FED on 9/9. 2.3 Trillion times over.
I’m betting she won’t be allowed to do this for National Security reasons. No way she gets a Security Clearance.
