Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed had been the newly picked Democrat party nominee for U.S. Senate from Michigan for only hours when startling charges about improper connections and cash arose.
El-Sayed’s campaign had taken in more than $115,000 from people “who work for or have held leadership roles with the Council on American-Islamic Relations,” according to a Fox News report.
The problem with that?
CAIR has been designated a terrorist organization by the United Arab Emirates and formally designated or labeled as such in Florida and Texas.
CAIR, the politically active organization promotion Islam throughout America, in fact, was named as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation terror-funding trial several years back.
The report said while El-Sayed has claimed his priority is getting “money out of politics,” he’s taken in cash from at least 41 people who either work at CAIR, did work at CAIR, or have held leadership posts.
Included on that list of donors are national CAIR figures Manal Fakhoury, Eyas Abdeen, Emad Sabbah and Jukaku Tayeb, the candidate’s father-in-law.
Further, the report said, Tayeb is part of the founding committee of the Islamic Society of North America, a “group linked to Hamas and Muslim Brotherhood funding,” the report said.
One donor was identified in the report as CAIR executive director Nihad Awad, who is listed in records as Nehad Hammad, and is known for his comment he was “happy” to see Hamas attack Israel on Oct. 7, 2023, in a brazen act of war in which some 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered.
Other CAIR-linked donors have connections to chapters in California, Arizona, Texas, Georgia, Washington, Illinois, Minnesota and Ohio.
El-Sayed’s own connections to CAIR include his appearance at a CAIR event in 2022 where he was paid for speaking.
CAIR told Fox it does not have ties to terrorism.

Abdulrahman Mohamed El-Sayed is dirtier than Graham Cracker Platner. Not necessarily about strange sexual preferences (I have no knowledge of such in El-Sayed’s instance), but in accepting terrorist money to fund his campaign. And CAIR is clearly among the more egregious terrorist groups around the world.
The Republicans will have to be running one tremendous ground game, knocking on doors and getting out the vote, if we are to dodge THIS bullet. At this point, independent voters and perhaps even a few “old guard” Democrats could respond to the call.
It is possible.......If anybody knows about illegal foreign money, they do..................

Well Bernie Sanders said terrorism supporters shouldn’t support terrorism, “it’s a stupid thing to say”, but that a “big tent” is needed, so they should be welcome into the movement.
Hopefully the polls showing Rogers up big on this candidate turn out to be true, and that also effects the governor race and House races down ballot.
Aren’t there any American humans running for office on the democrat side?
