The SCHISM (SSPX) is growing quickly in the Catholic Church. This is the period of the crucifixion of the Body of Christ, the Church (CCC 675-677). The first target of Satan is to destroy the One True Church founded by Jesus Christ, the Catholic Church. Satan attacks the Church from outside but today ESPECIALLY from WITHIN the Church. Satan is pushing many people off the Barque of Peter, the Church, on the “port side” (left side), who do not follow the laws of God infallibly interpreted by the Magisterium of the Catholic Church for 2000 years. But also on the “starboard side” (the right side) of the Body of Christ, there are many who believe they have the “fullness of the truth and means of sanctification” and thus do NOT feel they need to dialogue with anyone who does not totally agree with themselves. It is true that the one true Church, the Catholic Church, has the “fullness of the truth and means of sanctification” (Lumen Gentium, no. 8), but an individual person or an individual group in the Church or outside the Church is not the Magisterium of the Church, and thus does not have the guarantee, the charisma of infallibility, to INTERPRET all of Divine Revelation infallibly. This is why the humility to take the risk to dialogue is always necessary, as Pope John Paul II often encouraged us to do. This dialogue, though, must seek the immutable Truth of God, and it’s proper interpretation, in the documents of the Church and the writings of the saints for 2000 years, since the Truth of God NEVER CHANGES.

It is so easy to slide back into what the Second Vatican Council sought to eradicate - to bring the Church back to true humility and to eliminate in the Church this arrogant triumphalism of being the true Church. Without true humility, there is no real virtue, God goes away, and there is spiritual blindness, as there was with Lucifer, with the Pharisees and Scribes, and with so many others in the Church today!
The greatest punishment of God in this period, as prophesied by St. Francis of Assisi and other saints for this period of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21) and of the great apostasy (2Thess 2:3) before the revelation of the Antichrist, is to SUSPEND the Church hierarchy of God and to give us a hierarchy not of God (I believe this suspension will last about 20 years, beginning in 2013). This is due to the fact that so very few Catholics were and are willing to obey the Teachings of the Church, in particular regarding sexual morality. Do we believe that we can make it to heaven without imitating Christ crucified and humiliated so as to overcome our egoism and hidden pride and to learn to truly love which also means to be generous to life (“be fruitful and multiply”; Gen 1:28; 9:1,7; 26:24; 38:8-10; Ps 8:6-9; 127:3-5; Sir 17:2-4; Ex 1:7; Wis 9:2; 10:2; etc.)? There was an incredible great rebellion against Humanae Vitae (1968) at all levels of the Church. President Bill Clinton had a survey done on how many Catholics use or have used contraception. The results were 98%!
In our pride we all want to point the finger at others, as the cause of this confusion and punishment from God, such as pointing the finger at the Second Vatican Council, at various Popes, at the Novus Order Mass, while 98% are in mortal sin! If a priest obeys the Liturgical Books regarding the celebration of the Novus Order Mass, observing all the conditions for each possible exception, the Mass is equally reverent as the Latin Mass. I knew a priest in California in the 1960s who celebrated the Latin Mass in less than 20 minutes. The real problem is the conversion of hearts. You cannot put forced handcuffs on the hearts of priests and on lay people. You cannot force the conversion of hearts to have true humility and love and trust in God by way of a forced Latin Mass or any other forced law. Our Lady of Fatima told us that wars are caused by OUR sins; she did not mention Hitler or other dictators, as we “holy people” tend to do!
Blessed Cardinal Newman said he felt fortunate to be living in the time when the enemies of the Church were on the outside looking in. The day would come when there would be enemies of the Church on the inside looking out. Today we talk about theological descent in the Church. Descent is a nice word for heresy, lies, all sorts of lies!
More than 60 years ago, ECCLESIASTICAL MAS0NRY, with the help of many Mas0nic bishops and cardinals, entered into a great number of Catholic seminaries and Universities to fundamentally change, in a very sly and hidden way, the theological and philosophical foundational teachings of the Catholic Church. Jesus said: “You will know them by their fruits” (Mt 7:15-20). Jesus did not say “you will know them by their leaves”, which would be their nice words! The very powerful negative and destructive fruits of Pope Francis and Pope Leo are seen in their constant promotion of those who do NOT obey the perennial unchangeable teachings of the Church, of the Deposit of Faith, those who promote the culture of death (relativism), while sending the obedient ones away and putting them to silence in many sly ways, especially with the use of their highly controlled mainstream media.

Yes, the Catholic Church is the One True Church founded by Jesus Christ with incredible spiritual treasures to help souls of good will to get to heaven, especially the Eucharist. But the Catholic Church is also the first target of Satan to be destroyed, along with the Eucharist (2Thess 2:6; Mt 24:15; Mk 13:14; Dan 9:27; 11:31). We must IMITATE AND SUFFER WITH MARY AT THE FOOT OF THE CROSS, the Queen of martyrs, while the Body of Christ, the Church, is being crucified (CCC 675-677) in this period of the “great tribulation” (Mt 24:21), everyone wants to abandon the Body of Christ, the Church, running to the left or to the right as happened during the crucifixion of Christ 2000 years ago! Pray for humility and long suffering and perseverance, until we arrive to the Triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary before the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
I would highly recommend that you remain very close to the Sacraments and pray many Rosaries, as well as reading regularly from: “To the Priests, Our Lady's Beloved Sons”.

Wow! No wonder the RCC burned William Tyndale at the stake. Tyndale, who translated the Bible to English, got heat from a RCC leader who fussed about too many people knowing what's actually in the Bible. To which Tyndale replied: "If God spare my life, ere many years, I will cause the boy that driveth the plow to know more of the Scripture than thou dost."
I thought that was in the RCC's past. Evidently they still have the mindset that only the "experts" can truly know what's in Scripture.
We can always ask several hundred people here what it says and get several hundred different answers.

Definite agreement with on the first part, big disagreement on the latter part.
Today we can receive direction from our faith directly from the apostles. As Paul wrote in Ephesians 2:20 (AMP) that the church "having been built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus Himself as the Cornerstone". And we can still base our church today on the apostles -- through Scripture. Perhaps this is why Paul wrote in 2nd Timothy 3:16-17 (AMP) --
"16 All Scripture is God-breathed [given by divine inspiration] and is profitable for instruction, for conviction [of sin], for correction [of error and restoration to obedience], for training in righteousness [learning to live in conformity to God’s will, both publicly and privately—behaving honorably with personal integrity and moral courage]; 17 so that the man of God may be complete and proficient, outfitted and thoroughly equipped for every good work."
In other words, Scripture completely teaches us.
But did the early church believe in "apostolic succession" as the RCC defines it? I'm having trouble seeing that. For example, in 1st Corinthians 1:10-17 (AMP) we read:
10 I appeal to you, brothers and sisters, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another in what you say and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11 My brothers and sisters, some from Chloe’s household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12 What I mean is this: One of you says, “I follow Paul”; another, “I follow Apollos”; another, “I follow Cephas”; still another, “I follow Christ.”
13 Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized in the name of Paul? 14 I thank God that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15 so no one can say that you were baptized in my name. 16 (Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don’t remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17 For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with wisdom and eloquence, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.
Paul is saying not to make a big deal about being successors to early church leaders, not even to the apostles Paul or Peter (Cephas). Be a big deal about the One who died for us. If you note: almost no Protestants (though there are a few) say that you can't call yourself a Christian member of God's true church unless you follow this-or-this leader or magnify that-or-that group. The Roman Catholics are the ones who corner the market on that thought. Perhaps 1st Cor 1:10-17 should be read as part of mass.
IMHO, the best way to truly do apostolic succession is not to be part of some clique that claims through tradition to be heirs of the apostles. To be a true successor of the apostles is to teach what the apostles themselves taught.
That's me dealing with the parts of your post about how things should be now. Let's talk about the items related to history (call it, the how we got where we are items).

The Counter Reformation, as codified by the Council of Trent, said that the Latin Vulgate was the only authoritative Bible text. Dig it! Not the underlying Greek, Hebrew, or Aramaic Scripture in their original language! Three specific Greek words that Matthew Tyndale corrected from the Latin Vulgate's translation are:
-- Presbuteros: Tyndale translated the Greek word presbuteros as "elder," whereas the Vulgate and church tradition translated it as "priest."
-- Exomologeo: He translated exomologeo as "acknowledge," whereas the Vulgate used "confess."
-- Metanoeo: Tyndale translated metanoeo as "repent," correcting the Vulgate’s "do penance". Penance means you're still attached to your sin (the idea being that only the clergy can help you break it). Repentance means your sin had you going one way, now you're going another way.
No wonder they burned the man at the stake! And the Counter Reformation taught to throw away the original meanings of the Greek and stay with only the Vulgate mistranslations.

This was written for protestants who have made themselves pope.
But we are in a very particular period as this article indicates. The protection of God on the Church that Christ founded, the Catholic Church, has been suspended for a few years since very few Catholics were willing to obey the Church teachings, especially on sexual morality.
God never accepts any compromises even though we may have to suffer with Christ to live His laws as God intended, not how we want His laws. Just about everyone today wants a Christianity without the cross, and adjust the Ten Commandments according to the way they want things, using many compromises!!!
If we trust God truly, we will seek the Truth according to God, not according to how we want the Truth.

As a Protestant, you have to believe that the full Truth of Christianity did not arrive until Martin Luther revealed it in 1517, and that over 1500 years of luminaries such as Justin Martyr, Jerome, Augustine, Aquinas, and others got it all wrong the whole time. Think about that for a moment!

A large portion of Protestants are ignorant of the early Church.
Yet, the early Church received its faith directly from the Apostles.
The early Church was Catholic in its theology:
1) The real presence of the Eucharist.
2) Baptismal regeneration.
3) Apostolic succession.
That’s the folly of sola scriptura. More than a thousand years later creating a Christianity that is foreign to the faith that Jesus gave to his disciples. And yet knowing this Protestants will still follow their teaching tradition.
Dr. Peter Kreeft, a former protestant convert to Catholicism, wrote: “Let 500 people interpret the writings in the Bible privately, and you will soon find 500 new sects founded due to different interpretations.” Protestants are their own pope, interpreting the Bible according to their personal interpretation.
Jesus said: “Go out to the whole world: proclaim the Gospel to all creation” (Mk 16:15). Jesus never asked us to start our own church!

A couple of points.
This thread began with your initial post, which didn't have "Catholic caucus" in the title. So when the article that you posted has the statement "It is true that the one true Church, the Catholic Church...", were you surprised when a few fellow FReepers replied to that? That's why I'm a bit surprised in your reply to us with your statement: "According to your logic I am an idiot since I submit to the Teachings of the Church Christ founded, the Catholic Church...". Sir, you are the one who drew first blood by your original post. I replied, and let it go. Yet here you are again weeks later, still not letting it go that you believe that only your sect of Christianity is "the one true Church".
Now that I've covered the attitude of your post (at least as I read it), let's look at the details.
1) Of all the things you posted, only one is a reference to Scripture (the angel Gabriel's statement to Mary, which I'll address later). Everything else is what some supposed expert (clerical leader) says about what some Protestants said. My post weeks ago was based on SCRIPTURE!!! And all you got is a bunch of he-said, she-said? Really? You gonna base your beliefs on that?
2) Mary is called ‘kecharitomene’ by Gabriel, in which she was made full of grace in the past and will continue in the future.
Really? Here's what Luke 1:28 actually says:
a) Go to the link above. Click on the settings gear and enable the Strong's numbers. That should turn many of the words into hyperlinks.
b) In verse 28, click the word "favour" and it'll take you to the Greek word charitoo. The literal definitions of the word are:
1. to make graceful
charming, lovely, agreeable
2. to peruse with grace, compass with favour
3. to honour with blessings
You gonna let someone tell you that it means something else, like that Mary was sinless and herself immaculate? Mary was an awesome hero in God's church, yours and my church. But don't make more of her than that. If anything let's be better at promoting a part of the Trinity not much discussed, God's Holy Spirit.
3) The Protestant is an atheist wrapped in the cover of a Bible, keeping only the cover, being himself the text of the Bible, that is, his own will, through free interpretation.
Really? I can't believe you quoted that as part of your argument. LOL It is not I who is paying attention to only the cover of the Bible and replacing the Scripture verses within with what I believe. It's the RCC doing that! First you guys fuss at us Protestants for believing Sola Scriptura, then you say we ignore Scripture! LOL For example, look at your own post. You referenced things as proof that I don't even know what are. What are "Fb 240506" and "FB 231124"? When there is no Scripture to back up your arguments, do you resort to other things as references?
4) The false Protestant doctrine of the “Perspicuity” of the Bible: According to this Protestant Doctrine, the Bible is CLEAR and EASY to UNDERSTAND.
Of course the Bible is easy to understand! Are you, a fellow FReeper, actually going to tell people to shut up and trust the experts like the Democrats do? Do you think God inspired the Bible writers to write Scripture with that in mind? The only thing us Protestants have heavy quarrels with each other over is related to modern hedonism being pushed by leftists in some churches (including the RCC). Nobody argues vehemently anymore over minutiae that's not clearly articulated in Scripture (i.e. age of the earth).

Too funny! You don't know Protestants at all. Us church history geek Protestants often discuss the things we believe differently from Luther. We're grateful that he got us back to believing more like the early church fathers (especially 4th century Augustine of Hippo). But we quote Scripture, not Luther. When you assume that we quote the early Protestant leaders like that, you're projecting RCC behaviors onto the rest of us.
A couple of reflections:
A) Note that I said "yours and my church" instead of saying that I'm part of some exclusive clique that says you're not a real Christian unless your baptisms involve dunking or such. Even though I could easily make a more Scriptural argument for that (the definition of the Greek word baptizmo means to submerge or envelope). Because baptism is mentioned so infrequently IMHO it's not a hill worth dying over. Can't you say the same about the things that you believe make the RCC unique and the "one true church", especially since there are no Scriptural reasons for them? To the point where, in this post I'm replying to, you stated: "The Protestant is an atheist...". Really?
B) It's not the Protestant that's trying to destroy the RCC. It's the leftists and the Muslims. Why don't you direct your venom at the RCC's real enemies, instead of the ones who are actually helping fight back against the world? I'd prefer more posts from you describing the Democrats as the God-denying, child-sacrificing, hedonism-promoting, child-grooming, global warming doomsday cult that they are, then bashing your fellow Christians, especially the conservative Christians who read your posts on FR. There aren't many Protestants on FR who support the leftists infiltrating Protestant churches or the RCC.
