Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas., argues the Democratic Party is increasingly being driven by its socialist wing, and the party's leadership is capitulating to the radical left on 'Hannity.'
Cruz says party leaders have been reluctant to challenge the far left, allowing those voices to play a larger role in shaping the party's agenda. He also praises Sen. John Fetterman, D-Pa., for what he calls ‘extraordinary courage’ in criticizing fellow Democrats and warning about the direction of the party.

These revolutions often end up eating their own. Maximilien Robespierre ended up losing his own head in the terror he started during the French Revolution.
That's not saying much about the current state of that party. Hitler was a big hit with the Nazi Party too, but the party never won a majority in elections. The fascists spent years trying to destroy communism, and the same battle is going on right now within the RAT party.
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani appears to hold an elevated and highly influential status within the Democratic Party. Following a series of primary victories where he successfully backed anti-establishment and progressive candidates, Mamdani’s political clout is pulling the party leftward and positioning him as a prominent voice in its future.
Mamdani successfully endorsed multiple left-wing and democratic socialist candidates who defeated establishment Democratic incumbents.
Alongside figures like Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, he is widely viewed as one of the national leaders of the party’s progressive and democratic socialist movement.
His rise has sparked a national debate among Democrats, as some in the party view him as the architect of a new grassroots playbook, while more moderate Democrats warn his policies are too far left.
My condolences to the democratic party.
If the Democrats controlled the Senate ...
And if John Thune were officially and openly a Democrat ...
And if John Thune was the Majority leader of the Democrat-controlled Senate ...
And if John Thune were obstructing a Democrat president ...
John Thune would accidentally fall out of a window.
The most powerful democrat in this country is Thune. /s
That’s great!
LOL, posted before I read the replies as a reaction to the headline. And before Thune it was McConnell for me, I detest RINOs more than democrats and always have for decades.
That pinko commie geek.
No kidding. The man is a fraud. He promises things he cannot truly deliver on. His fans will be let down… it is inevitable. The man is going to be the reason many do not vote democrat. Communism and terrorism do not play well generally.
ROTF!
Mamdani is a mayoral POTATUS analog.
And Cruz, you know that.
Why are you too cowardly to say so...
ISLAMamdani aligns with millions of soldiers worldwide, while many meditate inside America. Enemies foreign, enemies domestic.
Yet Newt says Mandami is a flash in the plan and the Dems are facing historic losses.
Cruz is smart. Make Mamdani the face of the democrat party.
Mamdani is not even assimilated into the “melting pot” of the spirit of America, continuing to persist in his somewhat combined vision of Islam and communistic sociology/economics. And his utter abhorrence of anything to do with the established nation of Israel, and the Jewish community in New York City itself, calling for a cleansing of the “scourge” on the world, only reaffirms his broad streak of anti-Semitism.
No redeeming social benefit whatsoever. Clearly, Mamdani does not understand the meanings of tolerance, justice, affordability, or equality, all foreign terms in his lexicology, but which he throws around freely.
My prediction: AOC will run for president, and Zohran Mamdani will replace Chuck Schumer in the Senate.
Some Republicans are cheering that our opponents are crazy. I’m not.
This is bad for America. I may disagree with Democrats on taxes and regulations, but this country needs two parties that actually love America. pic.twitter.com/AW0gAv8V75— Ted Cruz (@tedcruz) July 23, 2026
