You might not remember Joe from Fox News, but he was a regular for a while. He might’ve disappeared from the airways, but he’s still working hard for President Trump and the American people.
Joseph diGenova spent decades inside the web of federal law enforcement. He was a Reagan-era US attorney, and now he’s the prosecutor leading one of the most important investigations in US history.
NBC News:
Joe diGenova, a former Trump campaign lawyer who backed President Donald Trump’s efforts to overturn his 2020 election loss, will head up a Florida-based federal investigation into former federal officials who investigated Trump, a Justice Department official confirmed to NBC News on Saturday.
DiGenova, 81, who was U.S. attorney for the District of Columbia during the Reagan era, will lead a sprawling investigation targeting Trump’s enemies, reaching all the way back to a previous Justice Department inquiry into Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.
The Justice Department brought Joe on to take control of the massive, confusing, and chaotic investigation into the feds, intelligence guys, politicians, and agencies who targeted President Trump… the plot we all call “The Russia Hoax.”
Early on, the investigation was moving slowly and lacked direction. Thanks to Joe stepping in a couple months ago, it’s now coming together. And he has the full authority to follow the evidence wherever it takes him.
And on that note, it appears to be taking him somewhere pretty darn explosive.
While investigating the Russia Hoax, diGenova’s team may have stumbled into a massive hive of foreign election interference involving Ukraine and the United Kingdom in the 2016 election.
That juicy tidbit came from investigative journalist Paul Sperry, who says Joe’s team has obtained startling new evidence of election interference and has actually assigned a federal investigator to focus specifically on Ukraine.
Here’s Paul Sperry’s post:
DEVELOPING: I'm told special prosecutor diGenova's team has obtained startling new evidence exposing 2016 election interference by non-Russian foreign entities including Ukraine and the UK ... diGenova has onboarded a federal investigator in his office to focus just on Ukraine...— Paul Sperry (@paulsperry_) July 8, 2026
This probably won’t come as an earth-shattering shock to many, thanks to graphs like this, showing the biggest donors to the Clinton Foundation.
Look:
Joe went looking into an operation built around accusations that Trump colluded with a foreign government and found evidence pointing toward actual election interference by two countries that weren’t exactly friendly to Trump or his agenda.
Keep in mind, diGenova wasn’t handed some simple task with a tidy little list of suspects. He’s literally been dropped into command of a sprawling federal investigation reaching back more than a decade and potentially involving some of the most powerful people in the world.
Real Clear Politics:
Since taking over the Justice Department’s far-flung investigation in April, veteran prosecutor Joseph diGenova and his team quickly concluded that combining all of the alleged wrongdoing, which ranges from falsifying evidence and committing perjury to leaking classified information and obstructing justice, into one unified plot and trying them together as a single case would be unmanageable.
“You’d have 50 defendants in the courtroom,” said a well-placed source familiar with diGenova’s thinking.
Before diGenova took over the investigation two months ago, its contours were ill-defined as it lurched ahead in fits and starts for more than a year. But according to the sources, diGenova is tackling the case with a new, disciplined focus and in so doing is giving it the direction it’s lacked.
But this is a change in tactics, not the theory of the case. The sources say his operating assumption is that Trump’s enemies in the 2016 Hillary Clinton campaign, the Obama and Biden administration, some Democrats in Congress, and their like-minded accomplices across several government agencies – including the CIA and the FBI – joined in one continuous conspiracy over almost a decade to deny Trump his civil rights, derail his political campaigns, and undermine his presidency.
Where other investigators have looked at specific pieces of the effort Trump’s defenders now call “Russiagate” after its original origins, diGenova is launching the first holistic look at the entire scandal. A well-placed source said it is looking at events from June 2015 when Trump first came down the golden escalator at Trump Tower to announce his candidacy through the 2022 FBI raid at Mar-a-Lago after he left office.
So now, the investigation isn’t limited to reviewing old reports and public records. Sperry says diGenova has uncovered several new witnesses, including whistleblowers from inside the FBI and the intelligence community.
These are people who reportedly understand how key decisions were made, what information was hidden, and which officials knew more than they ever admitted publicly.
The investigative change here is pretty important. Instead of viewing Crossfire Hurricane, the Mueller investigation, the attacks on Trump’s associates, and the Mar-a-Lago raid as all of these unrelated puzzle pieces, Joe is reportedly connecting the dots and seeing if they were pieces of one big puzzle.
It’s a huge task. But reports indicate that Joe’s team has evidence that the other investigators either missed, ignored, or never had access to.
And speaking of that, the whistleblowers aren’t the only new development. DiGenova’s team reportedly uncovered a large internal FBI document that was very informative and possibly quite damning.
Real Clear Politics:
These well-placed sources also say that diGenova has cultivated several new witnesses, including whistleblowers from the intelligence community and the FBI, and that his team has also uncovered significant new evidence, including a massive FBI document spanning several hundred pages that reportedly exposes new malfeasance in the bureau’s probe of Trump’s alleged ties to Russia, codenamed Crossfire Hurricane, which was begun before the 2016 election.
They note that diGenova traveled to D.C. earlier this month to meet with both Blanche and FBI Director Kash Patel to discuss the newly discovered internal FBI document and map out new investigative leads as well as a new overall case strategy.
It’s true, all it sometimes takes is one internal document to blow the case wide open.
Now, with the FBI’s records now shaping and changing the next phase, Joe’s team is also looking at how the original allegations against Trump were cloaked in this level of legitimacy that was crazy. This allowed them to push everything through the government, media, Congress, and eventually the Mueller investigation.
Real Clear Politics:
By laundering the dossier – the heart of the Russia collusion scheme – through the U.S. intelligence community, the outgoing Obama administration was able to give it a gloss of credibility. By design, this false information made its way into the media, which in turn prompted Congress to open inquiries and the DOJ to appoint Robert Mueller as special counsel to continue the investigation on a larger scale. DiGenova, sources say, is examining whether Mueller’s team engaged in prosecutorial abuses against Trump officials and associates.
Comey and Brennan were subpoenaed earlier this year regarding their roles in the ICA and are key targets in the conspiracy investigation. Both have denied any wrongdoing, publicly and through their lawyers.
Now in command of the entire investigation, diGenova has his own budget and is rapidly “staffing up” office, including hiring a large team of deputy prosecutors, investigators, analysts, and researchers, said a DOJ official with eyes into his operation.
The Justice Department official told RCI that his Florida team will not move forward with indictments without confidence that they can prevail in a court of law.
“We’re not going to bring indictments just to make ourselves feel good only to lose and give the bad guys a victory,” said the official, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss a sensitive matter. “So it’s a lot of work. But that’s what we’re doing.”
You can read Paul Sperry’s entire article here.
Americans have already watched years of useless hearings, shocking reports that lead to nowhere, pointless investigations, and dramatic promises that end without anyone being held accountable. Bringing weak cases for the sake of headlines isn’t the way. But also, another “big investigation” that leads nowhere is another problem they need to avoid.
As it stands now, DiGenova’s team seems to be focused on not making either of those mistakes. But time will tell, and we’ll be watching.

Gosh … I want to believe this but nothing seems to ever come to the surface … you have to wonder if these people (like many investigations, Amelia Earhart, etc) just seem to be trolling for dollars

Message: Real Clear Politics reported that outgoing Obama credentialed the Hillary-financed dossier – the heart of the Russia collusion scheme against Trump – by laundering it through US intelligence, and was able to give it a gloss of credibility.
By design, false information was driven into the media, which in turn prompted Congress to “open inquiries” resulting in the DOJ to appoint Robert Mueller “special counsel” to amplify the phony dossier on a larger scale.
Joe DiGenova, sources say, is now examining whether Mueller’s team engaged in prosecutorial abuses against Trump officials and associates.
Stumbled, like he had no idea and tripped over it? Of course Joe knew it was there. Amy sentient person did.
After talking with insiders who were and are placed at the highest levels, he and his team knew exactly where to look for evidence of the stolen election.
A few of those insiders are known by name because when the Deep State tried to disappear them it made the news.
More smoke and mirrors? Who knows, but if it’s legit, Joe better have some damn good around the clock security. It goes without saying that his life is in danger.
For years, the way around the CIA being prohibited from interfering in domestic politics has been for an intelligence service from a “friendly” nation doing the deed, and the CIA reciprocating in king. It should surprise no one that Obama used British intelligence for dirty tricks on Trump with Ukraine handling the money transfers.
DiGenova is well-liked and well-thought of. You can bet that he’s getting plenty of insider help.
Not my opinion/view but here it is from the other side.
“He might’ve disappeared from the airways”
He was on Larry O’Connor’s radio show every Mon. morning, up until this appointment.
Joe is sharp, & the right man for the job.
DiGenova is well-liked and well-thought of.

Good point.
David Corn?
He’s one of the conspirators
This once again proves - at the highest levels, Ukraine is in no way an independent or autonomous entity.
It is a satrapy of US and EU political elites within both areas “deep states.”
This corruption and control is reflexive - as money and support are given, its done only for the purposes of “kick backs” to various politicians and political organizations, and for Ukraine to carry out the foreign-policy designs of outside parties, particularly of the EU, as a proxy
Thanks

I PRAY that Paul Sperry is on Joe’s INVESTIGATION TEAM!
I think Joe is a REAL DEAL!
