46-year-old Travis Longo, who goes by the stage name “Anita Buffem,” was arrested and charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child.
According to police, Longo engaged in sexually explicit communications with a child under the age of 12.
Longo was elected vice president of the Board of Education for the Cazenovia Central School District in 2024 – and is STILL a member.
“Anita Buffem” was previously a guest speaker at the Pennsylvania Democrat Caucus in 2024.
Of course he was.
“The arrest was the result of a joint investigation conducted by members of the Troop D Bureau of Criminal Investigation (Oneida), the State Police Computer Crime Unit (Troop D), the New York State Police Special Investigations Unit, and the Madison County Child Advocacy Center,” New York State Police said in a press release.
“Investigators determined that Longo engaged in a pattern of sexually explicit communications with a child under the age of 12,” police said.
Police said there may be more victims and encouraged them to contact authorities.
“Investigators believe there may be additional victims who were contacted by Longo and ask anyone with information to contact the New York State Police at Troop D Headquarters at (315) 366-6000 and reference case number NY2600762245,” Police said.
Longo bragged about his speaking gig at the 2024 Pennsylvania Democrat Caucus.
The Superintendent of Cazenovia School District released a statement to KATV:
The District became aware of the arrest of our Board of Education vice-president Travis (Barr) Longo when the news was publicly disseminated at approximately 10:00 this morning. Mr. Barr is not an employee of the District, he was elected by the Cazenovia voters to a 3-year term in May of 2024. The role of a school board member is not a student facing role. Please be assured that we take all such matters with the utmost seriousness.
The District has retained and is working closely with legal counsel to review the matter thoroughly and determine the appropriate immediate steps. In the interim, the individual in question will not be permitted on any school grounds or at any district-sponsored events.
The safety, well-being, and peace of mind of our students, staff, and community remain our absolute highest priorities. Because this involves an ongoing administrative and legal matter, we are strictly limited in the specific details we can share publicly. However, please know that we are taking all necessary actions to ensure a safe, secure, and focused learning environment.

I’m glad “she” was arrested but there are dozens if not hundreds of these drag queens who did “Drag Queen Story Hours” at public libraries where they wore thongs and other revealing clothing to “tell stories” to pre-teens and dance in front of them, including shaking their crotches in front of the kids’ faces and having the kids put dollar bills in their g-strings. How that is not endangering a minor or explicit sexual acts with a child under 12, I’ll never understand.

The Cazenovia Central School District Board of Education is composed of seven non-partisan voting members elected by the District Residents, who serve three-year terms of office without pay. Members run in the "At Large" system of voting, meaning any candidate can be elected to fill any seat on the Board, and candidates are seated after the election results based upon the number of votes received.

Median age in Cazenovia is 27.6 years (village), while the median age for Cazenovia town residents is 45.6 years.
The percentage of population with a bachelor's degree or higher is above the state average.
The most common employment sectors for those who live in Cazenovia are Educational Services (363 people), Accommodation & Food Services (156 people), and Health Care & Social Assistance (116 people), and the most common job groups by number of people are Education Instruction & Library Occupations (244 people) and Management Occupations (149 people).
That part of NYS has undergone real economic transformation, from a mill-based, waterpower-dependent manufacturing economy in the 19th century to agriculture and then to the service, education, and professional economy it is today. That's a complete shift in the character of the town over roughly 150 years. The current demographic profile (affluent, educated, white-collar) would be quite different from what it was in, say, 1880 or 1900 or even 1970.
