Lt. Gov. Burt Jones and wealthy businessman Rick Jackson nabbed the top two slots in the initial primary, putting them up against each other in the runoff. Jones has been endorsed by President Donald Trump and got a late nod from Gov. Brian Kemp, while Jackson has painted himself as the right person to carry the MAGA banner in his campaign.

And we are still waiting for the results from several primary elections in Maine. Election day was June 9th, but glitches in Rank Choice Voting, incorrect flash drives sent etc. have delayed the results.
Still waiting for California..............
I’ve been getting lots of conflicting references and endorsements about both the GA Gov and GA Senate nominees. Kemp, who is a GROPElite “hero for opposing Trump cant rerun, but refused to go for the Senate seat. And his selectee for Gov (former Sec of State Raffenberger) are now both out.
Kemp was being groomed for Washington. No longer?
We need to watch the GOP Senate runoff too to fight Ossoff.
In Oconee County, where counting is complete, the early in-person vote went to businessman Rick Jackson, 58%-42% over Lt. Gov. Burt Jones.
In the Election Day vote, Jones won, 57%-43% over Jackson.
This is indicative of what we are seeing in counties across the state. We expect more Election Day votes than in-person early votes, which makes it possible for the race to tighten and potentially flip, though Jackson is currently in the lead.
“Kemp was being groomed for Washington. No longer?”
He proved himself to be a RINO.........
From NBC
Rep. Mike Collins has won the Republican Senate runoff in Georgia, NBC News projects, setting up a race against Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in one of the most competitive and important campaigns in the country.
Collins’ primary victory over former college football coach Derek Dooley is also a win for President Donald Trump, who endorsed the two-term congressman just a few days before Tuesday’s runoff election. Dooley, meanwhile, had been endorsed by Republican Gov. Brian Kemp, who campaigned heavily for his candidate and argued the GOP needed a political outsider to defeat Ossoff.

Dang, I wrote in Stacey Abrams, you go girl!
Looks like Rich Jackson will be the GOP GOV candidate.
I have not followed this race so don’t know whether that is good or not so good.
I would have preferred Jones. But, if it is Jackson v Democrats, I’ll vote Jackson this fall.
As for lt governor race,
Greg Dolezal 255,110 54.1%
John Kennedy 216,032 45.9%
61.5 of the votes in.
Republican voters rejected Vernon Jones for Secretary of State in Tuesday’s runoff in favor a candidate who says Georgia’s 2020 election merely had “irregularities.”
Osoff held dual Australian citizenship through his mother. His father is Jewish......Ossoff did not formally convert until prior to his bar mitzvah. Osoff noted that he grew up among Holocaust survivors and how this greatly influenced him and his worldviews.
Ossoff’s votes on Jewish issues:
Approves Israel Munition gifts: Ossoff notably voted against blocking the sale of bomb guidance kits, arguing that these specific weapons are vital to Israel’s defense against constant rocket attacks from Iran, Hezbollah, and other regional proxies.
Combating Global Antisemitism: Ossoff strongly championed and led the Senate floor vote to confirm Dr. Deborah Lipstadt as the U.S. Special Envoy to Monitor and Combat Anti-Semitism. He has consistently issued statements condemning violent antisemitic attacks globally and locally in Georgia.
Israel blanketed w/ tax dollars: Ossoff has voted for billions of tax dollars in “security assistance,” military financing and gifts of US weaponry to Israel.
Thread hijacked bellow
Kemp supported Raffenberger AG second term over Jones. Then supported him again over Jones for Governor. Once the rat lost, then Kemp supported Jones over Jackson I had to vote for Jackson. Looks like the people either voted Jackson/Collins or Jones/Dooly.
Vernon was too recently a Democrat.
