Uh Oh: Ro Khanna Just Made the Graham Platner Scandal Even Worse — Will Reporters Follow Up?
Red State ^ | June 08, 2026 | Sister Toldjah

I think it's safe to say that the shelf life on the Democrats' shameful "Believe All Women" tactic has expired, considering their near-unified reaction to the latest allegations against Graham Platner ahead of the June 9th Maine primary.

Platner is the presumptive Senate nominee for the party, which was rocked by a New York Times report on Thursday, where three former girlfriends recounted what they said was a pattern of controlling, domineering, and allegedly abusive behavior. One who dated him from around 2015 to 2016 alleged a pattern of physical abuse that allegedly involved wrist-jerking, arm-twisting, confinement, shoulder-grabbing to the point it would allegedly leave bruises, and a threat to rape any male intruders who would break into his home.

As RedState reported, speculation is swirling that the snoozepaper of record shelved two allegations of sexual assault against Platner after reportedly giving his legal team 24 hours to respond to the story before it was published.

Not surprisingly, the same Democrats who said Brett Kavanaugh's accuser, Christine Blasey Ford, should be believed during his 2018 Supreme Court confirmation hearings are singing a different tune with Platner's accusers. But one of them, Democrat Rep. Ro Khanna (CA-17), seems to want to have it both ways, as we also reported.

In a nutshell, Khanna said at a Friday rally for Platner and in a Sunday Face the Nation interview that people should believe his accusers and not attack them... but that they should also believe Platner, because the man who reportedly "explicitly" sexted up to a dozen women after his November 2023 marriage had supposedly "redeemed" himself.

But something else Khanna stated during that Face the Nation back and forth is raising even more eyebrows, prompting calls for more investigative digging into Platner's allegedly abusive behavior:

And I want to be clear. His actions were misogynistic, they were shameful, they were wrong. But they didn't come as a surprise to a lot of the folks in Maine. People in Maine knew that he had had two tours of duty in Iraq. He came back broken, in a dark place. That doesn't excuse his behavior, but they knew this. He was in Washington. And then he went back to Maine, and he started an oyster farm.

Oh, really? "... they didn't come as a surprise to a lot of the folks in Maine"? Do tell. Who knew what and when, not just of Platner's time in Maine, but also in D.C., where the woman who alleged physical abuse, Lyndsey Fifield, has given us a sneak peek into what he was allegedly like during the time he served as a bartender at the Tune Inn Restaurant and Bar.

Who else knew? And why have investigative reporters only barely scratched the surface with Platner, if Khanna's statement about people in Maine knowing his behavior is accurate?

Here is what I believe is going to happen: The worst is yet to come for Platner, something the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) strongly implied in late April about the oppo research they've done on him:

Mark Halperin said Friday on 2WAY's "The Morning Meeting" that an NRSC source tells him the opposition research they have yet to release on presumed Maine Democratic Senate nominee Graham Platner is so damaging that he won't just lose the election, "he'll have to leave the state."

Platner is the presumed winner of the Democratic primary despite reports that he had a tattoo with Nazi iconography and a history of online comments that could offend almost anyone.

"The NRSC says they're going to go so negative on Platner," Halperin said. "I saw one of the spokespeople say he'll have to leave the state. He won't just lose the race, he'll have to leave Maine."

If Platner wins the primary on Tuesday and the heat intensifies to the point it's not sustainable for even his most ardent supporters, he conceivably could drop out, but it'd have to be quick enough for Democrats to legally be allowed to put in a replacement nominee. RedState's Shipwreckedcrew explained the process on X after the Democrat-sourced sexting story broke:

BUT, under Maine law, if Platner were to drop out after winning the primary, he could be replaced by the Dems on the General Election ballot ONLY IF:

1. He drops out prior to the 2nd Monday in July, and

2. His replacement is named by the 4th Monday in July.

The second Monday in July is the 14th. Look for all hell to break loose for the Platner campaign if he and his True Believers, like Sanders and Khanna, dig their heels in and try to go the distance in this important race. Stay tuned.

Oh ok.....no such grace has ever been afforded President Trump and he did nothing to have to redeem himself for!

Planter will win the primary tomorrow.

He will not drop out of the race unless his hard core supporters abandon him. This morning a man dressed up as Uncle Sam went into Platner for Senate office in Ellsworth, Maine.

Like the Dems care about the law. They will just find a judge who will let them change it.

I heard Ro Khanna say that he believed one woman who accused Platner of rape. Ro also said that Platner’s behavior was deplorable but did not include rape. So I guess Ro does not think that rape is violent.
