Why can’t Elon Musk leave Britain alone?
The Spectator ^ | June 5, 2026 | Jawad Iqbal

Posted on 06/05/2026 2:45:28 PM PDT by MinorityRepublican

Why is Elon Musk so obsessed with what’s going on in Britain? The billionaire owner of Tesla and X has been busy posting on his social media platform about the murder of Henry Nowak and what it says about the state of British policing. What does Musk actually know about policing in this country?

What the tech mogul definitely does know about is how to stir the pot. According to a report in the Financial Times, Musk has written more than 110 posts, retweets and replies about British politics since last Wednesday on X. This is almost three times the share devoted to his company SpaceX, which is valued at $1.8 trillion ahead of its highly anticipated IPO next week.

Musk is all fired up about the murder of 18-year-old Henry, which has led to accusations of “two-tier policing” after it emerged police had arrested him for alleged racial abuse as he lay dying. There were violent clashes with police in Southampton this week near to where he was killed by Vickrum Digwa, who was given a life sentence on Monday. Musk criticized how “heinously” Nowak was treated by the police in a series of posts:

The West has created an utterly evil state religion where an accusation of “racism” is the gravest offense that can be committed, even worse than rape or murder!

The billionaire vowed to fund a wrongful death lawsuit against the police officers who arrested Nowak. Why? No one, least of all the dead student’s family, is asking for his help.

“Why is Elon Musk so obsessed with what’s going on in Britain?”

What happens in the UK has a tendency to migrate westward.

Musk was raised in the British Empire and he has some expectations that the Brits should not be regressing and that Western Civ should be saved to progress onto higher heights.

Or something close.

Of course he could be concerned that whatever the Brits are doing is deleterious to all things X.

Jawad Iqbal - Such a reliable, traditional British name. Churchill would be comforted.

Britain didn’t leave us alone with George Floyd. Premier League players were taking a knee before games. There were murals of George Floyd all over Europe.

Musk was born in South Africa. He KNOWS what happens to a country when you let the invaders take over! GENOCIDE.

What a ridiculous question. No different than an arsonist asking why a fire department won’t leave a burning building alone.

As I have noted elsewhere, only a military coup will save British now. Such a coup well might be successful should the monarch lead it.

Otherwise, it’s all over but the shouting.

I can see how a Brit is unfamiliar with freedom of the press.

I don't remember anyone in the media objecting when members of The Squad "stirred the pot," or the hosts of late-night "talk shows."

Sadly, that is quite true. The lazy Republican bums in Congress have done nothing to advance the SAVE Act. So the Democrats are free to cheat their way to a presidential win in 2028.

Newsom? AOC? It doesn’t matter. Any of them would open the borders, and turn us into the third world.
🙁

I have a saying about Russia, "I keep trying to like Russia, and they keep screwing it up." I suggest the same thing applies here.
