We’ve been told the Derek Chauvin case was simple. It’s not. We were told the whole thing is a settled fact. It’s not. We were told that Derek Chauvin “murdered” George Floyd. The trial proved it, the jury got it right, and anyone who questioned the official storyline was called a bad person or a right-wing “racist” radical.
They’re not.
Because actual facts have a funny way of outliving the hysteria and emotion.
When you take away all the hyper emotions, media pressure, riots, politics, and the worldwide frenzy that surrounded this case, the record looks a lot more layered and complicated than the public was told.
It’s time to look at the actual evidence and ask a very basic question: did Derek Chauvin ever have a chance at a fair trial?
Dr. Andrew Baker told federal prosecutors that he ruled out anything that happened while Floyd was on the ground as a factor or cause in Floyd’s death.
Another major issue centered on the restraint Chauvin used.
During the trial, we were told this wasn’t a trained Minneapolis police technique. And visually, the image was powerful. To the average person, it looked shocking and barbaric… a cop with his knee on a man’s neck.
But again, the public was lied to.
According to Minneapolis police training materials, this type of restraint was something officers had actually been trained to use.
If jurors were told the restraint wasn’t part of Minneapolis police training, while records and photos suggest otherwise, that’s huge. It’s the difference between a “racist” officer deliberately trying to hurt a black perp and an officer using a trained practice to subdue a suspect. Those are two very different stories, and the jury should’ve been told that.

George Floyd killed George Floyd via drugs and a life-style learned from other fellow travelers. Chauvin was a scape-goat to fuel racism fires for more swag and $$.
Correct.
Yes. It was also a warning to other police. Even if you do what you have been trained to do, you will be sacrificed if it advances the goals of the Left.
I’m troubled by this case either way. Floyd’s lifestyle was going to send him to an early grave, and Chauvin was probably going to end up in jail eventually.
Chauvin had to be sacrificed so that a certain segment of society would not start looting and murdering in the streets.
Don’t forget the other convicted police officers.
Watch the documentary The Fall of Minneapolis. Shows all you need to know.
“did Derek Chauvin ever have a chance at a fair trial?”
No, not in Minnesota.
Get the book “They’re Lying” by Liz Collin. Chauvin was the scape goat. The judge buried the body cam footage until long after the trial. Then the mayor celebrated George Floyd on Memorial Day weekend. The whole episode stinks.
That is the biggest message to other police officers.
I still hope Trump quietly pardons and releases this man.
Chauvin will likely need to be shuttled to an undisclosed location if he ever is released before he’s 90 y/o.
But, if George Zimmerman can survive out in the ‘wilds of civilization’, then Derek Chauvin should also be able to make a new life for himself.
**I just now read that THEE Tina Peters has been released from prison! Accdg to CNN.
It was reported that Floyd was already saying "I can't breathe" when he was in the car, before he was on the ground or Derek Chauvin had his knee on his neck.
The Democratic Party needed a martyr and something to whip up emotions among black Americans when they had such a lackluster nominee for President in 2020.
Comme on man, we all saw the cop shove the fentanyl down that poor guys throat before he tried to arrest him...
I believe Chauvin had other issues that did not involve his arrest of Floyd. That was persecution by prosecution.
I think that his imprisonment was excessive, as it was proven that Floyd died of an overdose and a bad heart.
I hope he is released early and will not ever be a sworn law officer again.

As for Tina Peters? That lady needs restitution and I hope she gets it from Trump’s new lawfare victim fund.
Polis and the communists are trying to show how ‘magnanimous’ they are. If they were, Miss Tina never would have been prosecuted in the first place.
President Trump can pardon Derek Chavin because Derek Chavin of federal crimes, but he cannot pardon Chavin of the convictions for state crimes in Minneapolis.
The federal convictions were accomplished by the Biden department of justice, civil rights division.
Free Derek Chauvin!
Pardon Derek Chauvin!
Enough is enough!
And clean up Minneapolis!
This was, I thought, clear at the time, and during the trial (although maybe it was suppressed during trial). I even recall seeing these pages from the Minneapolis PD training manual showing this restraint method, being posted on line
Saint Floyd was unconscious for many minutes. No need for our hero cop to “subdue” the dirt bag then other than to flip the bird at bystanders giving him the business. Saint Floyd is dead because of his stupidity and Chauvin is, likewise, in jail for his.
Agree....that is the ONLY reason he was convicted. A good example of someone who should receive ‘SOMETHING’ from Trump’s $1.8b fund.
