CEO Saves His Failing Company by Firing Entire HR Department
Liberty Daily ^ | 5/23/26 | Tyler Durden

When Elon Musk purchased Twitter and took the company over in 2022, he proceeded to fire approximately 80% of the social media company’s bloated 7500 person workforce. This included almost all HR related employees. The company roster was pared down to a lean 1500 people. Everyone in the establishment media claimed that Twitter(now called “X”) was going to collapse.

The political left and their corporate allies did everything in their power to make this happen, including advertising cancellations and even government intervention, but they failed. X’s monthly active user (MAU) count has grown over the past 5 years–-rising from roughly 360 million in 2021 to over 550 million by early 2026. Part of the reason for this success despite the constant attacks was Musk’s removal of internal saboteurs.

The majority of corporations today have inflated their teams with people who do not add value – Rather, they create problems from thin air and drag the company down. The primary vehicle that facilitates this sabotage is the Human Resources department.

Today, the situation is changing rapidly. A wave of layoffs has hit the white collar sector since 2025. The end of DEI is leading to mass cuts which are largely affecting women, with minority women making up the bulk of the job losses.

One company CEO, Ryan Breslow of Bolt, saved his company from implosion by a simple change which allowed him to more easily make a number of other changes: He fired his entire HR department.

Breslow, who stepped down as CEO in 2022 but returned in 2025, cut 30% of the workforce in April and replaced HR with a smaller “people operations” team focused on training. “They were creating problems that didn’t exist,” Breslow, said at Fortune’s Workforce Innovation Summit. “Those problems disappeared when I let them go.”

From the article:

“It makes sense; Human Resource employees are 75% to 80% women and 18% LGBT, far above the averages in most white collar fields. These demographics commonly lead to a grievance-based work environment and an entitlement culture. These are the groups who often create problems from thin air as a means to manipulate the policy courses of companies and they are difficult to eject because of liability fears”

True, every word and there you have it.......the REAL poison of DEI.

Shrink Twitter.
Shrink the federal government.
Fire the whole HR staff.

Although I do think that AI and automation will result in fewer jobs being filled by humans, this real issue can be seen without any consideration of either AI or automation.

Modern society has a lot of BS jobs. Pencil pushers. Redundancies. Little people putting little numbers in little boxes in little spreadsheets. Companies do not NEED so many people.

What happens when industry truly gets “lean”? What happens when 30% of the workers everywhere get sent home? It could happen. It should happen. We would have to re-think a whole lot of stuff.

Bingo!

“...grievance-based work environment and an entitlement culture...”

If you’ve worked in a mid to large sized institution in the past 15 years (since the Obama error), what is the topic on everyone’s lips each day? Answer: Who is in trouble with HR?

As Rosanarosanadana said, “It’s always something”. And no matter the grievance, it’s always made bigger once HR is involved. HR managers take everything personally and become vindictive if everyone doesn’t fall in line with their thinking. And women are entitled to be automatically believed when the complaint involves a man. LGBT HR managers love to set their targets on a man.

With this decision by the CEO, the Bolt company may just survive.

I have to wonder how many of those cut loose will file wrongful termination law suits.

I’d be shocked if none did.

Minority women is a euphemism for Black women

Black women are racists and promote Black ideology

I worked for a company whose HR Manager would bring her emotional support dog with her to work every day. It was a cute little thing and she had it’s little doggie bed and dishes in there too. But still...It made me wonder how much worse of a job she’d have been doing without it.

This sounded too easy…tech bro fires HR and takes a victory lap.

Now, let’s be clear, there are plenty of HR types - like the one caught fraternizing with the CEO at a Coldplay concert - that deserve ridicule. And yes, HR protects the company. Personally, my experience with HR is that the good ones are ninjas who have to handle the ugliest of problems and can probably work for Blackwater upon retirement. Your mileage may vary.

All that said, this article seems too hero-worshipy. So here are some facts.

With input from the Bolt staff, Breslow developed the Conscious Culture Playbook, an alternative to a traditional employee handbook that brought mindfulness principles together with standards for performance and execution. As part of the company’s conscious business culture, Breslow instituted a four-day workweek in January 2022. https://www.fastcompany.com/90639842/this-seven-year-old-company-thinks-it-can-help-companies-build-conscious-business-cultures

In other words, Mr Breslow embraced new age claptrap and instituted the 4-day workweek….not HR. By the way, the website where this handbook was posted is defunct.

Breslow stepped down as CEO in 2022 as revenues were collapsing and he was the subject of an SEC probe. https://www.scribd.com/document/842690703/Bolt-Probed-by-SEC-Investors-Over-Statements-Made-During-Fundraising-The-Information.

In 2025, when Breslow was reinstated as CEO after years of board room disputes, lawsuits, the SEC probe, and a crumbling valuation that tumbled 97% from its $11 billion peak, Mr Breslow said “I’ve made a ton of mistakes and the last few years were a very humbling experience for me…I’m a warrior, but the last three years challenged me to my breaking point and beyond.”

Now, he’s blaming HR?

Tech Bro boy can blame HR all he wants. This guy sounds like your average Zuckerberg-wannabe who is full of himself, gets called out, issues a fake mea culpa, and then relapses and blames everyone but himself all over again.

DEI activities can be caustic. But this loser started this company, integrated this nonsense, drove it down 97% from its peak, and now we’re supposed to cheer as he blames the HR department HE created?

Please...mindfulness….Tech Bros are filth.
