Good news but I’d be happier if the elected masterminds in DC were sentenced to anything.
Good news.
This all points to why government should not be doing charity work. Pre-Great Depression there were local benevolent societies just about everywhere, dealing w/the local needy.
Now, all that has largely been replaced by faceless bureaucrats. Local charities can know who they are dealing with which pretty much preclude fraud off the bat.
Over 75% of federal spending is entitlements and social programs. I’ll wager a giant chunk of that is fraud. The biggest chunk is actually the lavish salary and benefit package that gov employees get. Don’t forget their nice buildings and digital infrastructure.
Charities are a lot cheaperand more effective than government by far.
They're covering up the masterminds behind these scams because they also doing it for other government programs throughout the country.
Good luck with that. Leftists would rather be heroes to the cause that snitch on someone else. Someone snitching on a leftist or leftist cause tends to disappear
