there has been renewed attention on the mosque’s history and past connections to individuals linked to the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks. The New York Post described the mosque as one of the largest Islamic centers in California and noted that it has been the subject of national attention since the early 2000s.
According to the report, two of the 9/11 hijackers, Nawaf alHazmi and Khalid al-Mihdhar, attended the mosque while living in San Diego before the attacks. Federal investigators later examined their activities in the city and their connections to members of the local Muslim community. The mosque’s current imam, Taha Hassane, has faced criticism for comments regarding the Israel-Hamas conflict.
Days after the Hamas attack, Hassane posted a video where he reportedly said, “This did not start last week or on October 7. This is the result of brutal Zionist occupation and genocide." "Resistance is justified when people are under occupation and don’t let them change that narrative," the Islamic cleric added.
According to watchdog group Canary Mission, Selma Hassane, his daughter, "promoted incitement, spread hatred of Israel," and "engaged in anti-Israel activism” with several social media posts and reposts.
According to a group called Stop-Antisemitism, Hassane’s wife, Lallia Allali, posted graphic images depicting a Star of David in the act of killing babies, with the caption “The Devil Is Killing” under the image.
Neighbors told the New York Post that tension existed between the mosque and the local community, including a nearby Hebrew language charter school which one mother said “grew uncomfortable.”
Local journalist and mother Stella Escobedo shared that “Hassane was supposed to bridge all the communities, but quickly became a hostile figure.”

As of July 2024, Hassane’s Instagram bio said he had been the imam and director of the Islamic Center of San Diego (ICSD), a mosque reportedly “best known as the home to two 9/11 hijackers.”
Also as of July 2024, Hassane was listed as a “member” on the Council On American Islamic Relations (CAIR) website.
In May 2024, during Israel’s war against Hamas, Hassane’s mosque hosted an event organized by the Students for Justice in Palestine (SJP) chapter at the University of California, San Diego (UC San Diego). SJP is a pro-terror campus activist group. Hassane is also a supporter of the Boycott, Divestment, Sanctions (BDS) movement.
As of July 2024, Hassane was listed as a religious adviser for the anti-Israel group Muslim Students Association (MSA) at UC San Diego. In February 2024, Hassane spoke [slide 1] at an MSA lecture organized at UC San Diego.
As of the same date, Hassane was listed as a co-chair of San Diego’s Interfaith Justice Coalition advisory board as well as as a “partner” in the San Diego Justice Department’s “Stands United Against Hate” campaign.
Hassane reportedly graduated from the Graduate Theological Foundation (GTF) with a master’s degree in Islamic studies. GTF is located in South Bend, Indiana.
Taha Hassane is married to Lallia Allali, who spread anti-Semitism a few weeks after Hamas’s October 7 attacks. Taha is also the father of anti-Israel activist Selma Hassane.

About half of the muslims you see are probably fine upstanding people, which is a surprise.
The other half look potentially dangerous one way or the other. And spontaneous Jihad is a near commonality somewhere daily.
How can civilization respond to such a deep, pervasive and imminent threat?
Fun Fact: Since 622 A.D. it is conservatively estimated that only 7-800 million non muslims have been killed by muslims.No one but a fool will accept islam ( a political war theology) as a religion. A good analogy for having muzzies reside and settle in our Republic; You have a case of water two out of the 24 bottles are poisoned ....A sane person would throw out the entire case and use a good filter (migration law) for any future consumption of water.

Why are any mosques allowed in the US? Islam has civil law under one leader, and religious law, equally considered civil law, which makes it incompatible with our US Constitution.

WASHINGTON — The family of the alleged Fort Hood shooter held his mother’s funeral at the same Virginia mosque that two Sept. 11 hijackers attended in 2001, at a time when a radical imam preached there.
Whether the Fort Hood shooter associated with the hijackers is something the FBI will probably look into, according to a law enforcement official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the investigation is ongoing.

The document also points to Osama Bassnan, who lived across the street from two of the hijackers in San Diego. According to an FBI document, Bassnan told another individual that he met the hijackers through al-Bayoumi. Bassnan told an FBI asset that “he did more than al-Bayoumi did for the hijackers.”
