OK. I have been doing my best to read the Trump tea leaves, figure out the Art of the Deal, and parse all the information out there so that I can figure out Donald Trump's strategy in the Iran War.
I thought I had a good handle on it, and until the past few days, Trump's behavior accorded pretty well with my overall theory.
Trump's strategy appeared to have been to pressure Iran into full and complete capitulation on the issues of nuclear weapons, ballistic missiles (which exist to make attacking Iran nearly impossible), and to get the Strait of Hormuz open.
I thought the combination of military and economic pressure was a reasonable strategy, although, as I have said multiple times, it is only the best of a number of bad options and not guaranteed to work. Trump appeared to know that, which is why he kept threatening to start blowing up bridges and power plants.
Still, I am beginning to wonder whether I was completely wrong about Trump's goals and strategy, or perhaps he is now behaving as he is because he is getting cold feet.
In other words, with Trump's about-face on Project Freedom and his unwillingness to follow through on his threats against Iran if it responded militarily, I now fear that he is in TACO mode, which is something I never expected to see.

Trump wants the uranium, he has always wanted the uranium that has been his number one priority, he’d sign on the dotted line today if Iran agreed to have us go into Iran and take it
Got your paycheck in the mailbox vs Direct Deposit this week timber bunny?
The Ukie Bot Club has been noticeably absent as of late.
😃
Why am I not surprised.
We easily defeated Afghanistan, so there should be no problem defeating Iran. 🤡
fake news. it seems Freedom is likely to resume end of week. another misfire-
In other words, despite not knowing what he’s talking about and/or having any insight into Trump’s plans, he thinks he’s chickening out.
Worthless waste of bumwipe article.
Only to a sad snake.

Or this?

Or this?
I think we just need to unleash the Jews. They are itching to get back in there and blow things up. have at it
The US military has run low on high value, purely military targets to destroy so the next phase of military action would require the destruction of critical Iranian infrastructure , the destruction of which would create an economic and humanitarian disaster that would be hard for a liberated Iran to recover from.
This is the Middle East we are talking about and there are huge geopolitical risks to having a collapsed and defenseless post conflict Iran and the resulting power vacuum would make Iran a tempting target for a lot of bad actors in the region.
At the same time, the Trump Team is building a very strong regional military coalition to take down the IRGC when the time comes as the likelihood of an IRGC surrender is low.
Hopefully they are working with the Iranian regular army and resistance groups to oust the IRGC from power
A patient approach is not a bad thing and it is working.
Yawn. Damned if he does; damned if he doesn’t. Same talking points, different Republican president.
Time is on our side not the Iranians. We are blockading their oil. No money coming in. The IRGC thugs aren’t getting paid . chit’s going wrong everywhere. We can wait it out.
Except that the Saudis and Kuwaitis are no longer onboard because they believe that Trump is about to cut and run and hang them out to dry, in the mindless pursuit of his "deal."
There should be ALL ITEMS AGREED UPON:
1. No nuclear development EVER and surrender ALL enriched Uranium.
2. No ICBMs EVER
3. No funding of terror proxies — Hezbollah, Hamas, Houthis and Iraqi Shia Militias, etc
4. Open Strait of Hormuz
ALL THE ABOVE ITEMS MUST BE ACCEPTED, no ifs and buts or no deal.
We can’t do anything about the regime change, sorry to the Iranian people. To do that we need boots on the ground and it just isn’t acceptable to most Americans. 😞 😔
Only fools and blind sycophants think otherwise.
No… time is not on our side. Gas, food and electricity prices are sky high and rising. Midterms are close.
Unless you want a Democrat Congress and Senate, time is not on our side.
you are so full of crap, you make Pucker seem smart
Write POTUS a strongly worded letter and tell him what you think he should do...yeah, that’s the ticket.
He took out the top 30-40 government officials, including their Supreme Leader. Anything he does after that can hardly be called “chickening out”.
